Yangju Korean BBQ restaurant with easy parking: Manpo Galbi

In short

Manpo Galbi Yangju Main Branch is a charcoal-grilled rib restaurant in Yangju, Gyeonggi. Three of us had three servings of handmade Korean pork ribs, complimentary yukjeon and yukhoe side dishes, plus one free naengmyeon each. Verdict: an easy pick for family meals or group dinners with plenty of parking.

Here’s my review after visiting Manpo Galbi Yangju Main Branch~.~. To give you the conclusion first: 100% willing to come back 🙋♀️ I’ve added another great restaurant to my Yangju list.

📍 65 Songrang-ro, Yangju-si, Gyeonggi-do (343 Mansong-dong) Hours Daily 11:00–22:00 The nearby restaurants are all wonderfully spread out too, so everything feels so open and airy -

The building is big, so there’s no need to worry about missing it. You can spot it from far away and think, oh, there it is. I thought Yangju might be a bit far, but it was only a 10-minute drive from Uijeongbu?? There was no traffic on the way, the roads were nice and wide, and driving there was super easy. The restaurants around here all use spacious plots too, so instead of feeling crammed together, the whole area feels wonderfully open.

Is this a Yangju rib restaurant with spacious parking?

Parking area in front of Manpo Galbi Yangju Main Branch

When you take your parents out, it can be surprisingly hard to choose a restaurant because of parking. Here, though, there’s plenty of space right in front, so there’s simply no parking stress. It may not sound like a big deal, but once you’re there, it really does make a difference. Beyond the front row in the photo, it looked like there was room for another two or three rows of cars. A group dinner should be no problem either!!

Restaurant interior with widely spaced tables

The tables inside were well spaced too, so we could eat without worrying about the people at the next table. I love clean, roomy tables >_<

Yukjeon and yukhoe come as side dishes

Once you sit down, they set out the side dishes first. Complimentary yukjeon (pan-fried beef) and yukhoe (Korean beef tartare) come with them,,,;;; And they’re delicious too ㅠ.ㅠ I almost ordered another bowl of rice before the meat even arrived.

After the side dishes are set out, they bring over the charcoal, and you can grill the meat yourself with the tongs and scissors provided. The heat was just right, so it didn’t burn too quickly and cooked nicely at our own pace.

Menu and our order for three

For reference, this is how the menu is set up. The three of us ordered three servings of handmade Korean pork ribs, and once we had rice and naengmyeon (cold noodles) too, we were about to burst ^__^ (Such generous portions.)

Ribs grilled over charcoal

Meat grilled over charcoal—what more is there to say ㅠㅠ It was tender and seriously delicious. There was no off smell, and it was still juicy. The marinade wasn’t overly sweet either, so it was the kind you can keep eating without getting tired of it.

With a rib order, is one free naengmyeon per person really included?

Free naengmyeon notice with a rib order

When you order ribs, they give each person one free naengmyeon. (We were eating so eagerly that I couldn’t get a photo of the noodles,,.) Halfway through, we ordered one bibim naengmyeon (spicy mixed cold noodles) and two mul naengmyeon (cold noodles in broth), wrapped the ribs with the bibim naengmyeon, then had the mul naengmyeon to refresh our palates. I think that was the optimal cold-noodle choice for three people. So good, so good.

Ppeongtwigi and ice cream for dessert on the way out

After paying, ppeongtwigi (puffed rice snack) and a soft-serve ice cream machine were waiting by the exit... What could I do? Even full, I had to have ice cream. I was definitely saying the naengmyeon was for cleansing my palate - but the puffed-rice ice cream was so good that I somehow had more, haha. There was a coffee machine behind it too. I think it would be especially great with kids or for family gatherings.

Ribs and naengmyeon in a spacious setting

If you’re choosing among Yangju rib restaurants, do consider Manpo Galbi Yangju Main Branch~ There’s a large parking lot, quality ribs to grill over charcoal, and free naengmyeon.. Most importantly, the ribs and side dishes are delicious, and I also loved the facilities, location, and overall ease of visiting—highly recommended for a family meal or group company dinner.
