Pohang Ocheon-eup family conveyor sushi with high chairs: Hojueseo
In short
Hojueseo on Hoejeon Chobap is a conveyor sushi restaurant on Namwon-ro in Ocheon-eup, Nam-gu, Pohang. The writer came with her husband on a weekday off, arriving just before break time and picking sushi, rolls and futomaki by table order rather than off the rail — futomaki isn't listed on the table order, so she asked a staff member to add it. With parking spaces and high chairs on hand, Hojueseo on Hoejeon Chobap works just as well for a family meal with young children as for a couple's lunch.

Hojueseo on Hoejeon Chobap is a well-known conveyor sushi spot in Mundeok, Pohang, located at 74 Namwon-ro, Ocheon-eup, Nam-gu. On a weekday off, my husband and I were trying to think of a filling, tasty meal out, and conveyor sushi came to mind, so off we went :-)

As a parent, parking is always the first thing I check when we go out to eat, and this place has plenty of parking space, which made it really easy to drive over :-)

High chairs and seating: is Hojueseo on Hoejeon Chobap good with kids?
Hojueseo on Hoejeon Chobap has kids' chairs on hand, so it's a comfortable spot for a family meal with children. The friendly staff greeted us warmly the moment we walked in, which put me in a good mood right from the start. They also have kids' chairs well stocked for families dining with young children, so it's easy to use as a family outing spot with kids in tow :-)

I took these photos around break time so it looks a bit empty, but this is actually such a popular Pohang Mundeok conveyor sushi spot that there's usually a wait :-) There are table seats for groups, and bar-style seats facing the conveyor rail on both the outer and inner sides. Because conveyor sushi turns tables quickly, I waited once before and it wasn't bad at all haha.
Arriving just before break time and ordering by table order
They brought udon broth to the table as soon as we sat down, and honestly this broth is pretty tasty too >.<

There were plenty of sushi plates on the rail, but since we visited right as break time was approaching, we ended up ordering almost everything we wanted directly instead. It was so nice not having to look around and wave to get someone's attention.
Fresh sushi and rolls straight off the rail

We settled into our seats and watched the sushi plates go around and around on the rail, picking out whatever caught our eye. There's a wide range — regular sushi, gunkan (battleship rolls), rolls, chawanmushi (savory egg custard), fruit for dessert, bread, and more :-)

Which sushi and rolls the couple picked at Hojueseo on Hoejeon Chobap
First we went for the classic, clean sushi plates. Fresh ingredients sat carefully atop the rice, and it was fun picking each piece one by one. The clean, plain flavor of the ingredients really came through, which was great for whetting the appetite.

Next we grabbed a colorful roll plate. The pieces were just the right bite-sized size while still packed full inside, so the flavor kept building the more we chewed. I don't usually go for rolls, but the way the ingredients came together here was excellent — I was really satisfied.

Futomaki isn't on the table order — ask a staff member
Hojueseo on Hoejeon Chobap's futomaki (thick seaweed roll) wasn't on the table order menu, so I asked a staff member separately to order it. While scanning the rail closely, one menu really caught my eye — a big, hefty futomaki!! It seemed new — I don't remember it from last time — along with the chawanmushi..!!
It was so big you could spot it from far away as it went by. The inside was packed edge to edge with colorful fillings between the rice and seaweed, and just looking at it felt filling. I carefully picked one up to try, and the way all the different fillings came together to fill my mouth was impressive. Just one piece was enough to feel satisfying and full, and the careful way it was rolled made it a pleasure to look at too. Getting to pick and eat futomaki this delicious really made me appreciate the charm of this Pohang Mundeok sushi spot.
Ah..! My husband doesn't love futomaki much, but when he tried to order more, it wasn't on the table order. We asked a staff member directly and they were able to take the order for us :-)

When you order through the table order system, they make it fresh right in front of you, which was really impressive to watch. Thanks to that, we got to eat even warmer, tastier sushi :-)

Fruit dessert, takeout, and Hojueseo on Hoejeon Chobap for lunch or dinner
The Pohang branch of Hojueseo on Hoejeon Chobap even nails the fruit dessert. As someone who's already tasted success here, they finished things off sweetly~! Hojueseo on Hoejeon Chobap in Pohang Mundeok — I'd come back every single day!!
Since Hojueseo on Hoejeon Chobap, this Pohang Mundeok sushi spot, offers takeout, I thought it'd also be great to use for enjoying sushi comfortably at home. Between the comfortable seating and the friendly atmosphere, I was in a good mood throughout the meal, and got to enjoy a hearty spread of sushi and rolls with family. A Pohang sushi spot kids and adults both love — Hojueseo on Hoejeon Chobap comes recommended for lunch or dinner :-)
