Cheonan brunch café for ricotta salad and arugula pizza: Siyudang

I visited Siyudang, a brunch café near Taehaksan in Cheonan.

Where is Siyudang, and is there parking?

Siyudang is a three-story building you'll see on the left before reaching the entrance to Taehaksan Recreational Forest. There's a private parking lot, so parking was easy.

The clean yet emotive white exterior catches your eye right away ✨ On a nice day, I think it'd be lovely to sit at the outdoor seats and take your time.

Inside Siyudang and the bakery counter

Siyudang is thoughtfully decorated from the entrance, so I felt good the moment I stepped in 🥰

The bakery selection was really varied too, so it was fun just browsing item by item. From delicious-looking breads to easy little baked snacks, there were many kinds, and several cakes were available so you could pick according to your taste.

Everything was styled so prettily that I think anyone who loves bread or dessert would be delighted.

You order at the 1st-floor counter. They were also running a little draw event, which added a bit of fun haha.

A different mood on each floor and the 4th-floor garden

Siyudang is decorated with a slightly different mood on each floor, so exploring the space itself was quite enjoyable. There were pretty photo spots here and there too, great for taking pictures 📸

Just wandering around the space was fun in itself, and it made for a relaxed way to spend time :)

Going up to the 4th floor, there's a space styled like a small garden, offering yet another atmosphere.

Crepe myrtle blooms prettily here and there, making it feel even brighter, and with the cute little windmill it felt like a garden out of a fairy tale.

The dishes came on mini trays, which was nice for carrying them and easy to move around with.

We ordered a good variety of dishes.

Everything, from the visuals to the plating, was so pretty. It was a brunch that satisfied the eyes first 💛

Ricotta salad, ₩13,500

A salad with fresh ricotta cheese 🥗 Round dollops of white ricotta sit on lush green vegetables — soft, nutty, and light in flavor, pairing really well with the fresh vegetables.

Cod roe cream pasta, ₩16,800

A cream pasta somewhere between smooth and rich. The savory saltiness of the cod roe added to the cream sauce made for a really good combination. Topped with bonito flakes for a distinctive touch, it kept the dish from being too heavy and made it delicious to eat 🤎

Chicken steak rosé risotto, ₩19,800

The steak was nicely browned outside and moist inside — light yet full of juicy flavor. The risotto was creamy without being greasy, seasoned just right, and paired even better together with the chicken steak 😋

Arugula prosciutto pizza, ₩20,800

Piled generously with fresh arugula (rocket), the flavor was fragrant and refreshing. The salty savoriness of the prosciutto blended so well with the slightly bitter arugula that I kept reaching for more! 🍕✨

Who is Siyudang best for?

If you're looking for a large, good-vibe café in Cheonan, I recommend Siyudang. Along with delicious food, you get to enjoy a pretty space and atmosphere together, making it a great fit for a date, a get-together with friends, or a relaxed family meal on the weekend.
