Cheonan café with elevators on every floor and a night view: Siyudang

I'm a blogging beginner who got a discount through the Superchart app and paid the rest myself — this is my honest review.

Siyudang: a large café in Pungse, Cheonan, on the road to Taehaksan

I visited a café called [Siyudang] in Pungse, Cheonan. You head out of Cheonan, further and further, winding along like you're going on a countryside trip, and that's where it appears.

The building was bigger than I expected, and there's a parking lot right in front — what a café! On the road to Taehaksan, no less. Whoever thought of building a café here.

Because of that, even though it's a large café, both the surroundings and the café itself were very quiet.

The weather was nice so there was a terrace on the first floor too! Click! But I was curious about the inside, so let's go in haha.

What's on the first-floor menu board at Siyudang?

Right as I walked in, there was a menu board — since Siyudang is a brunch café, they had all kinds of menu items, from salads to pasta to pizza, shown big with photos, which I liked. (As a self-proclaimed introvert, picking in front of the counter staff makes me feel shy... embarrassed, so having a separate board like this is such a nice touch haha.)

On the opposite side of the menu board, right where you see it as soon as the first-floor door opens, they'd decorated the space beautifully with plants. It kind of had... a desert feel, which somehow matched the quiet, out-of-the-way vibe of this café separated from the city center haha. Yes... that's just my personal impression haha.

Where are the seats, from the first floor to the third?

Here at [Siyudang], the building has floors 1 through 3, and the first floor is solely for ordering. Tables and chairs are set up on the 2nd and 3rd floors. And there's the floor-to-ceiling window I love!

Each floor has different concepts on the left and right sides, so it was fun choosing where to sit. I picked the 2nd floor!

Gorgonzola pizza, lemonade and grapefruit tea

Among the brunch menu, I ordered a pizza — gorgonzola pizza! The crust was thicker than I expected (not a tortilla) and overall it was nutty and delicious. What impressed me about Siyudang was that staff bring every ordered item directly to your table.

For drinks, I ordered a lemonade and a grapefruit tea. At first I considered other drinks, but the menu said they make their own fruit syrup, so I picked drinks made with the syrup.

Fresh out and still warm, the crust was nutty and the cheese was sweet. Honey came with it too, but even without dipping, the pizza already had a sweet flavor throughout.

Why so many families with young children come to Siyudang

This was actually my first time at a brunch café — every other time I go to a café I just drink coffee or a beverage, so having a proper meal while hanging out at a café felt new and nice. So this is why people come to brunch cafés~!! Next to me, moms and babies were also there eating brunch and chatting, and the atmosphere was warm and lovely. I get why so many families with babies come here.

An elevator on every floor for strollers and wheelchairs

What impressed me most was that [Siyudang] has an elevator on every floor. Having an elevator that makes it easy for anyone to get around — strollers, wheelchairs, people of all ages — feels like a real strength! Customers use it freely, and staff also use it when bringing food and drinks or clearing tables.

A garlic dipping sauce came with the pizza too, so I enjoyed it to the very last bite. Between all the chatting, we ended up finishing everything... haha.

Evening at Siyudang: the lit-up rooftop windmill and night view

Since I went in the evening, I was able to take photos of the night view, but the most disappointing part was not getting to see the rooftop windmill up close. The windmill photographed from a distance was already pretty, but it must be even prettier up close. Now I have a reason to come back again haha!!

Click! The lights meeting the windmill! So pretty. This is apparently the café's signature spot, and lots of little ones come just to see it.

It felt like a getaway far from everything — [Siyudang], a large café hidden away in Pungse. From meals to dessert, all in one place while looking out at nature — give it a try!
