Daecheon Beach brewpub in a heatwave: indoor seats, Daecheon Brewery

For the summer holidays, in the very peak of the season, we visited Daecheon Brewery (대천브루어리), a craft beer and pizza spot near Daecheon Beach.

I'd seen it on TV and YouTube and was curious, and since we were in Daecheon anyway and it was so hot, we wanted craft beer, so we dropped by.

Daecheon Brewery: the verdict first

Maybe because the ricotta pizza here is wood-fired, the dough was chewy, and the toppings went together really well. So good.

The craft beer was refreshing too. We tried all of the top 3, and each had its own character, so I'd say try them all.

Daecheon Brewery address and hours

The address is 65-71 Daeryangbiseonjae-gil, Boryeong-si, Chungcheongnam-do, South Korea. It is open daily 12:00–22:00.

Outside and inside: where to sit in peak season

"Exterior" Just from the outside it feels like a holiday resort, right? Haha, it even feels like being abroad! It's set back from the road, so it's quiet, which was nice.

I was already excited from the entrance. Let's head in.

"Interior" There are seats all the way to the back, so the space is great. There are quite a lot of seats, from bar tables to counter seats, so you can pick what suits you.

Here you choose your beer and they pour it for you. Look at how many kinds there are!

On a day that isn't too hot, the outdoor terrace seats would be great too! There's also floor-to-ceiling glass, so it feels open.

It's peak holiday season and a heatwave too, so we sat in the cool indoor seats, haha. Next time, on a less scorching day, I'd like to try the outdoor seats.

It seems to be a brewery that makes its own craft beer, haha. Having something to look at like this makes it even better.

What we ordered: tomato arugula jambon pizza and 3 beers

At Daecheon Brewery we ordered the tomato arugula jambon pizza (₩27,000). For beer we had Boryeong Mud Lager, Daecheon Golden Ale and Wonsando IPA, and there's also Ocheon Porter.

We went for the tomato arugula jambon pizza. We just really love pizza.

The arugula and the other toppings came together so well. The looks are great too, right? It tasted just as good. And the dough was so chewy.

We started with the Boryeong Mud Lager and the Daecheon Golden Ale. Both were refreshing and went so well with the pizza.

Two glasses weren't enough, so we also had the Wonsando IPA, which was zesty with a lovely aroma. We come to Daecheon often, and we left thinking, next time let's have more pizza and craft beer here!

Bottled beer to go and souvenirs

They sell bottled craft beer you can take away. It's handy for the trip home, and picking up a few cold bottles for your lodging would be great, right?

They sell souvenirs indoors too, and the fabric of that T-shirt was nice, haha.
