When I get my lashes lifted too sharply upward, my eyes actually feel uncomfortable.
But if the curl is too weak, the perm doesn't even show after a few days, which is disappointing too.. So I've never actually settled into a regular lash salon ^^
So this time I went looking for a place that does a thorough design consultation, and ended up visiting On The Boutique, a lash salon near Seolleung.
To cut to the conclusion: "this was the lash lift of my life..!"
Let me write up my review of the On The Ddolmang Perm!
Where is On The Boutique, and how far is it from Seonjeongneung Station?
On The Boutique is basically right outside the station when you get off at Seonjeongneung (?) About a 2-minute walk from Exit 4 of Seonjeongneung Station! I took the subway to get there too :)
Lash lifts aren't a one-and-done treatment — you keep coming back for maintenance — so honestly, a convenient location matters a lot for whether you'll actually stick with a place.
There were a lot of regulars who looked like Gangnam office workers haha.
What does the design consultation at On The Boutique cover?
The part I liked most about the "Ddolmang Lash Perm" I got this time was the thorough consultation before the treatment (´▽`ʃ♡ƪ)
She first checked my current eye shape and lash condition, then we talked through the look I wanted, and she suggested a design and style to go with haha.
Director Rahee had this expert aura about her, honestly..! LOL
So oddly enough I felt totally at ease from the start (?)..

The On The Ddolmang Perm I got is exactly what it sounds like — a design meant to make the eyes look a little more round and clear ("ddolmang-ddolmang")! The treatment is done one-on-one, so I could just relax and lie down without worrying about anyone else around!
Since you have to keep your eyes closed the whole time during a lash lift, if the space or the process feels uncomfortable the time tends to drag for me,,
But this time I was so comfortable I just dozed right off^0^ The director woke me up.. LOLLLL And the moment I sat up and saw the finished look in the mirror, it was like "oh???"
How the lashes looked right after, and the next morning
I loved it so much ♥ It's crazy that literally just lifting the lashes makes the eyes look this much more defined?!?!?!?
It's not the kind of look where the lashes are bent so sharply they practically touch your eyelid, so it doesn't feel artificial (?) either — it was close to exactly what I wanted!
Even from the side, instead of a curl that just snaps upward, each individual lash looked neatly arranged and lifted upward so nicely, eek~~~
And with lash lifts, they look great right after the treatment, but honestly isn't the satisfaction even bigger the next morning?!?! Normally I have to grip the roots with a curler several times, fix it if one side lifts less than the other... doesn't sound like much but it eats up time!!!!
After getting the On The Ddolmang Perm, doing my eye makeup in the morning takes way less effort.. and my makeup seems to go on better too.. it really does..♥ And even bare-faced, since my lashes aren't drooping down anymore, of course my eyes just look more defined!
