Craft beer pub in Isu, Seoul: macaroni pizza in the Raymond Set

I wanted pizza and a beer in Isu, so I went to Raymond Isu Branch. I kept hearing this was THE pizza-and-beer spot in Isu, so of course I had to go — pijmaek (pizza + beer) is always right 🥰 I can never resist a good pizza-and-beer place~~~

Where Raymond Isu Branch is and what the room feels like

Raymond Isu Branch is an American pizza and craft beer pub about a 3-minute walk from Exit 9 of Isu Station. The vibe hits you right at the entrance lol. AMERICAN PIZZA & CRAFT BEER lit up with red neon — it genuinely felt like a real American pub.

Step inside and the American energy keeps going. There's a chandelier next to a red neon sign, an arched interior, and even a self-serve bar — it felt like a polished, well-put-together American pub, if that makes sense lol.

I love places with a clear concept like this ㅠㅠ the interior was totally my style, and there's plenty of seating too 🥰

It's about a 3-minute walk from Exit 9 of Isu Station (FYI Exit 9 is under construction right now, so go through Exit 8 lol).

What comes in the 54,900 won Raymond Set

I went back and forth but ultimately wanted to try everything, so I ordered the set. It's marked as their signature — the Raymond Set — so I picked that!!

It's a set where you get a 20-inch half tray with one slice of every pizza on the menu, plus sausage, boneless fried chicken, truffle fries, and various sauces. The price is ₩54,900 — I thought, wait, all that for this price? That's a steal.

And then this massive set arrived lol. This is beyond a steal — like, what is happening with the size of this pizza lol.

Cheese, pepperoni and Hawaiian: how the pizza slices taste

The pizza is huge, true to American-style pizza, and it comes piled with chicken, sausage, and fries on the side — when I first saw it I thought, how are two of us going to eat all this. I started with the cheese pizza, and wow, this is genuinely the taste of America lol (it was too good, I forgot to take a photo of it..). The cheese and dough hit that perfectly indulgent, salty note that basically demands a beer. They weren't kidding when they called it American pizza.

The pepperoni needs no explanation — salty pepperoni and cheese together with beer, that's just game over. You know how you can tell a pizza place is legit by their cheese and pepperoni pizza? This is that place.

Honestly, I'm not usually into Hawaiian pizza. But Raymond lists it as their best menu item, and I was secretly like, why is Hawaiian the best one?? Then I tried it and — it's actually good lol.

The pineapple's sweetness isn't overpowering, and it actually pairs well with the salty pizza, so I get why it's popular. But my real pick of the day was something else.

The pick of the day: meat-topped macaroni pizza

This one had bulgogi-style meat topping with macaroni piled on top, and — oh my god, this was insane. With meat, cheese, and macaroni all together, the flavor was so rich, salty, and bold lol. This is literally what a pizza made to go with beer should be. One bite and I was ready to give it a standing ovation 👏👏👏

Personally, out of everything I ate that day, this was my favorite.

Chicken, sausage and truffle fries included in the set

The chicken that came with it was crispy outside and juicy inside — really good.

The sausages came in several varieties, which made it fun to try one of each.

The fries had a pretty distinct truffle aroma, so they didn't feel like plain fries at all — I kept reaching for them too. But pizza aside, the truly important part here is the beer 🍺

Craft beer at Raymond Isu Branch: Vienna lager and Summer Romance

Raymond apparently only serves world champion craft beers, and just from the fridge alone, there are so many varieties.

There's a wide range of draft beers too, and you can adjust the pour size, which is great if you want to try a little bit of several kinds. I wanted to get the sampler but held off ㅠㅠㅠㅠ I'll get the sampler next time.

My first glass was the 400ml Vienna lager, and it's genuinely smooth and delicious ㅜㅜㅠㅠ I wanted more but held back because there were so many other beers I was curious about. For the second glass I was debating what to get, and then I spotted a summer-limited beer.

Limited..? Yeah, I can't resist that. Ordered the Summer Romance right away!

It was a peach-flavored beer, and it was genuinely so good....

The peach aroma came through strongly, but it wasn't just sweet — it paired really well with the salty, punchy flavors of the pizza ㅜㅜㅜㅜ Being summer-limited makes it almost sad that it won't last ㅠㅠ

The fridge is also packed with canned beer varieties, so beer lovers will have a hard time choosing.. because I definitely had major decision paralysis lol.

How many people should share the Raymond Set?

For two people, especially if you're also drinking beer, the portion is really, really, really huge. It's not just enough to fill two people up — if you're planning to have several rounds of beer too, I'd personally say three to four people is ideal ❤️ You get to try multiple pizza slices instead of just one flavor, plus chicken, sausage, and fries all come together, so it's a great setup for a group switching between different beers. I'll probably order the Raymond Set again next time ㅠㅠㅠ

While we were eating, people who looked like they were locals kept coming in. Some came for pizza, but quite a few were clearly just there for a casual beer, so I thought — ah, this must already be a well-known beer spot in the neighborhood lol. I was even debating whether to tag my thumbnail as "Sadang-dong restaurant bar" or "restaurant pizza" lol. With the interior giving strong American pub vibes, huge American-style pizzas, and a massive variety of craft beers, if you want a proper pizza-and-beer night in Isu, Raymond Isu Branch is a solid choice.

It's especially great for a group to share one big pizza while working through different craft beers. Next time I go, I think I'll start again with today's pick — the macaroni pizza — and the summer-limited peach beer 🍕🍺
