Today's post is about the best Korean BBQ I've had near Hapjeong Station lately! This is my review of Ijjok Kimchi Samgyeopsal, a Korean BBQ restaurant near Hapjeong Station :) Among all the good spots around Hapjeong, this one stuck in my memory for its kimchi-and-pork-belly combo — the kind of place near Hapjeong Station I'd want to go back to whenever I'm craving samgyeopsal.
You'd think kimchi and pork belly is an obvious combo, but here the meat itself is genuinely top quality, and a staff member grills it for you from start to finish, which made the whole meal so much more comfortable. The price is decent too, and the finishing menu — from the doenjang jjigae to the fried rice — was perfect. Out of all the restaurants I've been to near Hapjeong Station recently, this one really stood out, so here's my review of Ijjok Kimchi Samgyeopsal in Hapjeong :)
Where is Ijjok Kimchi Samgyeopsal, and how far from Hapjeong Station?

Ijjok Kimchi Samgyeopsal is located at B1, 20 Dokmak-ro 3-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul, about a 5-minute walk from Hapjeong Station, so accessibility is pretty good. It's a great spot for making plans in Hapjeong and grabbing dinner, so it should be convenient for anyone looking for a Korean BBQ restaurant near Hapjeong Station.
Parking near Ijjok Kimchi Samgyeopsal in Mapo
There's no dedicated parking lot for the restaurant, so if you're driving you'll need to use a nearby public or paid parking lot. We bought a cheap half-day parking pass through the Modu's Parking app :)
Inside Ijjok Kimchi Samgyeopsal: 1st floor and basement seating

Ijjok Kimchi Samgyeopsal has a floor on the 1st level and one in the basement, and it was cleaner and more spacious than I expected. Even for a Korean BBQ restaurant, everything was well organized, and there were plenty of customers in the evening — a sign it's genuinely a solid spot near Hapjeong Station.
Ijjok Kimchi Samgyeopsal menu and prices

- Fresh pork belly 180g – ₩16,000
- Fresh pork neck 180g – ₩16,000
- Whole pork jowl – ₩18,000
For one thing, the pork belly is 180g per serving for ₩16,000, which given today's prices is genuinely great value!

- Doenjang jjigae – ₩3,000
- Chadol doenjang sulbap – ₩7,000
- Water/spicy naengmyeon – ₩7,000
- Finishing fried rice – ₩3,000
The doenjang jjigae is cheap too, and the fried rice is priced really reasonably!

Lunch seasoned pork set is ₩11,000, lunch brisket set is ₩12,000. They also have set menus, so it'd be a good place to visit for lunch near Hapjeong Station too.
Staff grill the pork belly from start to finish

What I loved most was that a staff member grills the meat for you. They cut the thick pork belly at just the right timing to eat and cooked the kimchi alongside it perfectly, so all we had to do was sit back and eat. It seems like a great option whether you're here for a company dinner, a gathering, or even a date near Hapjeong Station :)
Three servings of 180g fresh pork belly with grilled kimchi and doenjang jjigae

We of course ordered the signature dish, 3 servings of fresh pork belly! A lot of Korean BBQ places these days give you only 130g per serving, but Ijjok Kimchi Samgyeopsal serves 180g per portion — a genuinely generous amount, and on top of that, the meat quality was excellent!!!

You could tell just by looking that it was thick and in great condition, and since staff grilled it start to finish, we got to eat it at the perfect doneness every time.

The outside was grilled to a nice golden brown while the inside stayed juicy — bursting with meat juices with every bite! Even my pork-belly-obsessed partner approved. He gave it two thumbs up, saying it was exactly his style and the meat quality was amazing.

And here's the important part — the kimchi!!! They grill the kimchi sizzling in the pork belly fat, and that combo is basically cheating (I hereby declare my diet officially over). Put a piece of well-cooked kimchi on top of the pork belly and the savory meat plus the tangy-spicy kimchi kept me going back for more.

I usually like wrapping meat in lettuce, but the meat quality was so good and the pork belly itself so delicious that I just ate it plain. I immediately understood why they'd name the restaurant 'Kimchi Samgyeopsal' — this was a Korean BBQ restaurant near Hapjeong Station that lived up to it. We also ordered doenjang jjigae in the middle of the meal — savory, rich flavor, perfect for spooning up between bites of meat!
Finishing fried rice for 3,000 won

And of course, the meal has to end with fried rice :) At just ₩3,000, it was an easy add-on, and since it's made from the kimchi grilled in the pork belly fat, it was seriously amazing.

Frying the rice in the delicious leftover fat from the meat and kimchi made for a truly proper finish! We kept saying we were full but couldn't put down our spoons. If you're here for pork belly near Hapjeong Station, make sure to get the fried rice too.
Is Ijjok Kimchi Samgyeopsal in Hapjeong worth it?

Great meat quality, comfortable staff-grilling service, and a perfect combo with the kimchi! Every single item, from the pork belly to the doenjang jjigae to the fried rice, was satisfying, so I'd say my return-visit intention is at 200%.
I'd recommend Ijjok Kimchi Samgyeopsal to anyone looking for good food near Hapjeong Station, craving good pork belly near Hapjeong Station, or wanting a hassle-free Korean BBQ restaurant near Hapjeong Station where staff grill for you. I heard there can be waits on Friday and weekend evenings, so I'd recommend going early :)
