Hongdae nail salon foot callus removal with a foot soak: Byuazeu

Today I'm sharing my review after visiting Byuazeu Nail Lashes Skincare in Hongdae. It's a bit embarrassing to admit, but I'm the type whose feet get especially bad calluses, so I take care of my foot calluses regularly even outside of summer. This place is known for being really good at it, so I finally worked up the nerve to go. If you've ever gotten callus care done, you know how tricky it is to find a place that's actually skilled — this time I made sure to only pick places with good reviews before booking.

First impressions of Byuazeu in Hongdae

Byuazeu Hongdae Nail, Lashes & Skincare is located at 19 Hongikro 2-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul, 1st floor, and it's a salon where you can get nails, lashes, pedicure, and skincare all in one place. The moment I walked in, I noticed how genuinely clean and well-organized it was.

Maybe because it's an all-in-one salon, every piece of equipment felt professional. The gel nail color selection filled an entire wall, and there were nail-shape guide boards and detailed treatment info sheets posted everywhere, which built trust right from the first impression.

There was even a separate air purifier running, so you could tell they cared about hygiene too. The gel colors organized on the shelves by color family were also fun to look at.

Foot care starting with a foot soak

Byuazeu's foot callus care starts with a warm-water foot soak. As soon as I sat down they got the soak going, and while I soaked, the salon's super cute resident dog kept wandering by, which put me in an even better mood haha. On top of that they handed me a phone charger, so I could charge my phone and enjoy the foot soak time at ease.

Soaking my feet in warm water melted away the day's fatigue, and watching the dog wander around nearby meant the waiting time didn't feel boring at all haha.

After the foot soak, they first applied a callus-softening solution to my feet, let it sit for a bit, and then got into the actual callus removal.

Callus removal lying down — no pain at all

Unusually, at Byuazeu Hongdae I got the foot callus care done lying on a bed. This position was so comfortable that I kept getting sleepy the whole time, and at some point I actually fell fast asleep haha.

Unlike other places where you sit for treatment, lying comfortably on a bed made my whole body relax, and the treatment itself felt like a healing session.

They got into the callus removal in earnest. The whole process didn't hurt at all and there was zero discomfort, yet they still cleaned everything up thoroughly, which really surprised me. Their hands were so quick that it didn't take very long either. I usually remember callus treatments hurting a bit, but here it was completely painless — just refreshing!

Callus removal after: smooth soles

And here's the after..! Once the treatment was done, my feet were completely soft and smooth 🧡 Seeing my soles smooth with not a single callus left was so satisfying. My heels and the balls of my feet used to build up pretty thick calluses, but after this treatment they were soft to the touch. I used to stress a lot over my calluses, but after coming here that worry definitely feels lighter.
