Yellow Farm Gyeongju, a fresh-fruit café in Yonghwang

I recently visited Yellow Farm Gyeongju, a fresh-fruit specialist that has quickly been getting word-of-mouth buzz as a great café and dessert spot in Gyeongju. It is known for generously using fresh fruit, so it is a must-visit hot spot for fruit-dessert lovers. The drinks were piled high with fruit, so both the taste and presentation were hugely satisfying.

It is on the first floor at 37 Yonghwang-ro 13-gil, Gyeongju-si, Gyeongbuk, and open daily from 10:00 to 21:00. The shop has its own parking lot.

Yellow Farm Gyeongju exterior

The exterior has a modern, clean design that stands out at a glance as you pass by, making it easy to find. Its neatly pared-back facade gives a pleasant, polished feeling even before you step inside.

There are about two dedicated parking spaces, and plenty of room to park along the road right in front, so parking was not too difficult.

A space where plants meet modern interiors

True to the name Yellow Farm, the interior is dotted with all kinds of lush green plants. The bright plants and sleek modern interior blend naturally into a pretty, atmospheric setting. The space is lovely and tidy too, so it seems perfect for get-togethers or a Gyeongju date course, haha.

Fresh fruit in the display case

As you would expect from a fresh-fruit specialist café, the display case is full of fresh, appetizing fruit. Just seeing the fruit on display inspires so much confidence that I could see why it is famous as a Gyeongju fresh-fruit café. There are also several kinds of cake that go well alongside the drinks, so it is easy to choose whatever suits your taste.

Mango juice and watermelon juice together

Ta-da, my mango juice and watermelon juice arrived. Aren’t the visuals incredible?!

How the mango smoothie topped with whole mango tasted

The mango smoothie arrives with half a whole mango placed right on top, so its looks catch your eye the moment it comes out. One sip brought together the sweet, smooth mango smoothie and fresh mango flesh, with a satisfyingly deep taste of the fruit itself. They say they use organic agave syrup instead of sugar here, and I loved how the fruit’s natural aroma and sweetness came through rather than an artificial sweetness.

What was the promotional watermelon juice like?

The watermelon juice came with round watermelon ice floating on top and fragrant rosemary as decoration, and it looked absolutely delicious even before tasting it. It really is packed with watermelon, bringing out the fruit’s own aroma and refreshing sweetness. Rather than a dull or artificial syrup taste, it was cool and sweet like genuinely fresh watermelon blended right in, making the heat feel as if it had disappeared. The promotional price is so low too, making it great value and so tasty.

Perhaps because it is a premium fresh-fruit specialist, even the mango’s sweetness was on another level. It was softly ripened, with that natural fruit sweetness coming together so wonderfully. With both the mango smoothie and beautifully presented, high-sugar fresh mango to enjoy, I could see why this is Yellow Farm’s signature menu. No wonder it is known as a Gyeongju fresh-fruit café. Next time, they also sell fruit separately as gift favors and have bingsu (shaved ice dessert) on the menu, so I will have to come back for the mango bingsu.

Filtered water station inside the café

There is filtered water inside as well—such a thoughtful Gyeongju café.

Overall

From the drinks generously made with fresh fruit to the modern, tidy atmosphere, this was a place I found highly satisfying overall. The fruit’s natural flavor and freshness came through as strongly as the eye-catching presentation, making it a great stop when you want a proper fruit dessert. If you are looking for an atmospheric café with fresh desserts in Yonghwang, Gyeongju, I definitely recommend stopping by.
