Adult play in Jongno, Seoul: Suspect PT Shop at Nine Theater
In short
Nine Theater is a small theater near Hyehwa Station in Jongno, Seoul, where I watched the adults-only play Suspect PT Shop with my boyfriend. The cushioned seats and close view of the actors were great, and their quick-witted performances stood out. However, the nudity and explicit scenes were bolder than I expected, even for an adult audience.

I watched Suspect PT Shop with my boyfriend at Nine Theater near Hyehwa Station. We occasionally see plays while on Daehangno dates, and this time I was curious about the atmosphere of an adults-only play. The actors' performances were impressive, but the nudity and explicit scenes were far bolder than I expected.

Where is Nine Theater, and what are the performance times?
The theater is at 30 Daehak-ro 8ga-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea. It is fairly close to Hyehwa Station, so it was easy to get there after a meal.
The original post, written on Sep 2, 2026, listed September performance times as 7 PM on Monday, Thursday, and Friday; 3 PM and 6 PM on Saturday and public holidays; and 3 PM and 6 PM on Sunday. Sundays were marked “every other week,” and the Chuseok holiday period, Sep 24–27, was listed at 3 PM and 6 PM. As this was a schedule for a specific month, check the performance time separately for the date you plan to visit.

What can you do in the waiting area before entry?
Posters were displayed along the way down to the basement theater. Looking at them, I already felt this would be a bold performance.

After collecting our tickets, we waited in the waiting area. I expected most audience members to be couples, but I noticed not only couples but also men who had come alone.

The waiting room was also decorated around the PT-gym theme to match the title. You could spend time before the show taking photos at the exercise-equipment photo zone.

Photos of the cast were displayed, and the pamphlet introduced the cast and storyline.

What is Suspect PT Shop about, and are the seats comfortable?
The story begins when two male beginners, who had only done home workouts, visit a newly opened PT gym run by two female trainers. Unexpected mishaps follow as they learn to exercise. I thought it would be more surprising to watch without knowing too much in advance or encountering major spoilers.

At the time of my visit, entry began 20 minutes before the show. I went in and looked around the set, and the cushioned chairs made the performance comfortable to watch. As it is a small theater, I also liked being able to see the actors' expressions and movements up close.

What were the pre-show event and the actual scenes like?
Before the show, an actor who played several roles came out for an audience-participation giveaway event. The questions and prizes included sexual jokes, which felt a little embarrassing, but it also eased my nerves before the performance.

The main performance included nudity and explicit scenes. The level was clearly different from the Daehangno plays I usually watch, and I was surprised that it was bolder than expected even though I knew it was an adults-only play. I felt it was suited to adult viewers who can comfortably take in scenes like these.

It felt unfamiliar because it was my first adults-only play, but the actors' quick thinking and polished performances were impressive. They continued acting naturally even in the explicit scenes, so I was absorbed in the show.

Can you take photos after the show, and is it suited to a couple's date?
There was a photo time after the performance on the day I visited. I liked being able to take photos with the actors.

For me, it was a performance that offered a different atmosphere from my usual Daehangno dates. Still, I did not think the level of explicitness would be comfortable for every adult couple. It would be best to consider whether the person you are going with is also okay with nudity and sexual expression before choosing it.
