Seoul gastropub in Sadang: bisque rose pasta for two at Dophan
In short
Dophan is a casual European bistro pub in Seocho, Seoul, a 5-minute walk from Exit 11 of Sadang Station. Two of us ordered the bisque rose pasta (22,900 won), gochujang cream gnocchi (20,900 won), perilla oil cappellini with dressed greens (22,900 won) and a non-alcoholic mojito highball (9,900 won), and the chewy pasta, thick sauces and sharp dressed greens cutting the richness were the best part. With bar seats, tables and a private room for 7 to 9, Dophan works for everything from a solo drink to a wedding-invitation get-together.

Dinner tonight was at Dophan, a Sadang Station spot everyone talks about ~~! What is this place... it's actually really good haha 🥺 Both the vibe and the food were so, so good ••

Where is Dophan and how long is the walk from Sadang Station?
Dophan is at 19 Bangbaecheon-ro 6-gil, 2nd floor, Seocho-gu, Seoul, about a 5-minute walk from Exit 11 of Sadang Station. Hours are Mon–Thu 17:00–01:00, Fri 17:00–02:00, Sat 16:00–02:00, Sun 17:00–24:00, and there's no parking support.
I wondered what the name Dophan meant, so I checked the Naver listing — apparently it's a portmanteau combining the American slang DOPE (meaning 'cool and outstanding') with a Korean adjective ending. Neat ••

Oh, looks like Suzy has actually been here — this is really a hotspot ^^

There are bar seats and tables too, but the tables were fully booked so I don't have photos of them ,,
What is the space at Dophan like?
- A good-vibe casual bistro where you can enjoy wine and various drinks with European dishes
- Great for engagement gatherings, anniversaries, and blind dates — but also has dachi (bar) seats perfect for solo drinking
- Has a private open room for 7–9 people (group reservations available)
- A varied menu from steak, pasta, and gnocchi to light finger food and soup dishes
- A rich drink lineup: red/white/moscato wine, whiskey, highballs (non-alcoholic option available), distilled soju, and more
- Corkage available (₩30,000 per wine bottle / ₩50,000 per whiskey bottle)
- Anniversary cakes allowed to bring in (cake box must be taken back)

The two of us ordered perilla cappellini ₩22,900, gochujang cream gnocchi ₩20,900, bisque rose pasta ₩22,900, and a mojito highball ₩9,900.

The non-alcoholic mojito highball came out first. Refreshing and really good 🥺

The pre-meal bread was also super tasty ~~

A two-shot ••

How does the bisque rose pasta (22,900 won) taste?
Main dish 1: bisque rose pasta. Ohh... this is so good, seriously recommend it 🥺 The noodles themselves are delicious, and the sauce is rich and nutty, loaded with plump shrimp, zucchini, eggplant, and tomato — an unbeatable combo ,,

I thought the white stuff on top was cheese at first, but mixed in, it tasted more like a sour cream sauce. Went so well together!!

Why the perilla oil cappellini (22,900 won) is a must-order
Main dish 2: perilla oil cappellini with dressed greens (geotjeori, lightly seasoned fresh cabbage/greens). Please, please order this one too. Why? Because amid the unavoidable richness of Western food, this dish cuts right through it 🤤

You're supposed to pile it on top of the noodles like this.

What does the gochujang cream gnocchi (20,900 won) taste like?
Main dish 3: gochujang cream gnocchi. Ohh, this one was tasty too — the gnocchi itself is good, and it's loaded with bacon, zucchini, and more inside, so mixed together it's really delicious ;; And the sauce felt kind of similar to the tteumba (spicy cream) pasta sauce I sometimes make at home? (That's a compliment.)

A close-up shot ^..^

In the end, plates all cleaned ☺️ hehe ,, ah, it was so good!! Anyway, this was such a delicious meal ,, if you're looking for a good-vibe restaurant-bar near Sadang Station, definitely check out Dophan!
