I recently visited Mirim Yangjang Seolleung Branch, a Chinese restaurant near Seolleung that's super hot right now! With its upscale menu built around Peking duck on a Chinese base and its clean, polished vibe, it's perfectly suited for group gatherings too — completely recommend it, here's my review 🫶🏻

Where is Mirim Yangjang Seolleung Branch, and what are the hours?
📍 The Peking duck spot Mirim Yangjang is located at 30 Seolleung-ro 86-gil, B1 (the original signage actually reads Samseong-ro 86-gil 30, B1). ⏰ Open daily 12:00 – 02:00, and you can book through both Naver Reservation and Catch Table.

The original Mirim Yangjang location is in Busan — apparently they took the name from a dressmaker's shop (yangjang = tailoring shop for women's clothes) and just changed the interior into a restaurant while keeping the sign! Walking into this Seolleung location, the entrance has a striking red signboard that really nails a Chinese/Hong Kong atmosphere.

Inside Mirim Yangjang Seolleung Branch: mood and private room seating
Inside, red lighting and red tables blend with wood tones to create a super hip, exotic feel! It genuinely felt like I'd been transported abroad +_+

Mirim Yangjang Seolleung Branch has 2-top and 4-top tables, plus a private room set up for group parties. It seems like a great spot for a work dinner near Seolleung Station, and also perfect for New Year gatherings or other group meetups!

Watching the Peking duck dried and roasted in the open kitchen
What really caught my eye was the open kitchen! 👨🍳 The kitchen is fully visible, so you can watch the chefs cooking and see the Peking duck being made right in front of you, which was such a nice touch.

The signature and most famous menu item at Mirim Yangjang is the Peking duck. That's why you get to watch the whole process of drying and roasting the duck! You can order half or a whole duck, and it goes straight into cooking as soon as you order 😀

- Siu mai
- Half Peking duck
- Duck fried rice
- Fried pork rib

The best part about this Peking duck spot Mirim Yangjang is that it's corkage-free 🍷🍷🍷🍷 Grab a bottle of wine and let's go to Mirim Yangjang >_<
Siu mai (4pcs), steamed pork dumplings

Siu mai (steamed dumpling) packed with coarsely chopped shrimp and pork, topped with a whole shrimp.

I ordered the dim sum siu mai as sort of an appetizer before the main food. It's steamed to order the moment you place your order, so you've got to eat it right when it arrives piping hot!! The chewy wrapper was packed with plump, springy shrimp meat, so good.
Half Peking duck, carved and wrapped

The dish I was most looking forward to was of course the Peking duck! As soon as we ordered, a staff member explained everything and set up a really clean plating for us. The duck skin was shiny and glossy, and the meat looked nicely moist +_+ 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

They set up the sides — pancakes, vegetables, and sauce — so neatly it put me in a great mood before I'd even taken a bite!!

Wrapping duck meat + duck skin + cucumber + scallion + the special sauce in a wheat pancake is pure heaven 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 The skin is crispy without being overly greasy, and the meat inside is soft with amazing flavor!! It pairs so well with the cucumber, scallion, and sauce that you keep eating without feeling heavy at all 🧡

The pancake is thin and soft, so it wraps everything up without getting in the way of the flavors, which makes it even better 😝😝 There's no gamey taste at all, just clean flavor — this Peking duck spot near Seolleung is great for all ages >_< The half portion is also generous, so it's good value too.
Duck fried rice

After the Peking duck, you can't skip the fried rice!! The duck fried rice is made with fluffy rice stir-fried with finely chopped duck meat, keeping all the oil and flavor from the duck alive in the rice — it was so savory 🥹🥹 I completely recommend having the duck fried rice after the Peking duck haha.
Fried pork ribs

Pork ribs marinated for 24 hours, then fried and served with fragrant fried chili peppers. It's not a dish you easily find elsewhere, so I ordered it out of curiosity!

This was my first time trying fried pork rib, and the meat on the bone wasn't tough at all — it pulled off chewy yet tender, and it was so, so good ㅠㅠ The more you chew, the more the natural savoriness of the meat blends with the crispiness of the frying, super addictive, and it paired really well with the sauce too!!! Genuinely gone in seconds 🧡
Hong Kong-style fried egg noodles

The egg noodles are a noodle dish where the egg flavor spreads softly through every bite. The thin, springy texture unique to egg noodles really came through, and it paired nicely with the bean sprouts and the house special sauce.
Is Mirim Yangjang Seolleung Branch worth it for group dinners?
Mirim Yangjang near Seolleung left me completely satisfied — the unique interior, the friendly staff, and above all, food that was seriously delicious 🫶🏻 You get to try new dishes at reasonable prices, and with the private room, it's also great for group gatherings! Being corkage-free too, I'll definitely be back next time 🥹🥰🫶🏻🫶🏻
