A pasta craving day, found in Suwan district
I make pasta or risotto at home now and then, but you know those days when you just want to go out for it? Even with no special plans, sometimes you just crave pasta or pizza out of nowhere. While looking for a good pasta place near home, I visited Bueokgan Suwan Branch, famous for pasta in the Suwan district, wanting to dress up a bit for once.

How does the wait work during peak times?
Being such a popular spot, there's a bit of a wait on weekends or during peak hours. There's a note at the store entrance where you can write your name and phone number, so you can wait comfortably.

An ivory and pink interior
Stepping inside, the interior was spotless overall. Decorated in an ivory and pink combination, it felt bright and lovely without being too heavy.
There were also thoughtful details for guests — coat hangers were provided so you could comfortably store thick coats or bags, letting you enjoy your meal without any hassle, and baby chairs were carefully prepared for families with kids, making it a comfortable spot for anyone to visit.

Seats facing the kitchen and a wine fridge
Inside, there are also seats facing the kitchen where you can catch a glimpse of the chefs at work, and on one side, a stylish wine fridge is fully stocked with a variety of wines, adding to the atmosphere. For wine lovers, it seemed like the perfect spot for a date with a light glass of wine.

What we ordered that day
Sitting down, I excitedly scrolled through the kiosk. From salads to pastas to pizzas, everything looked delicious, and after much deliberation, our top picks for the day were the shrimp rosé pasta and the pride of Bueokgan Suwan Branch, the signature jambon pizza.

Shrimp rosé pasta, dipping the pizza
Soon, the mouthwatering shrimp rosé pasta arrived. The way the noodles were plated in a pretty curled shape was already a win.
I fell for it with my eyes first, and then tasting it, the thick, rich rosé sauce flavor was really captivating. My husband dipped the signature jambon pizza we'd also ordered right into this rosé sauce. He said eating it this way doubled the flavor, making it even more enjoyable. (I recommend you try dipping it too!)

Signature jambon pizza, sweet-and-salty with honey syrup
But the true star that completely won over my taste buds was the signature jambon pizza. Taking a bite, the cheese stretched so much it drew a gasp out of me.
Inside was something like sweet honey syrup, showing off the textbook definition of sweet-and-salty. Sprinkling hot sauce on top cut through the richness completely and hit exactly my taste. It's the kind of flavor that makes you nod along the moment you take a bite, understanding right away why it's the signature dish at Bueokgan Suwan Branch, the pasta place of Suwan district.

Finished off with grapefruit ade
Sipping on refreshing, tangy grapefruit ade in between bites cleansed the palate of the richness that can come with Western food, making the combination absolutely perfect.
Atmosphere, taste, and service all lined up perfectly at Bueokgan in Suwan district. Since it's such a popular place, keep in mind there may be a wait during peak hours. If you're looking for a place to have a cozy time with good food and good company, I'd recommend heading to Bueokgan for dinner tonight.
