Today I'm bringing you a review of Cheongdam Jokbal Gwanggyo Sanghyeon Branch, a new jokbal restaurant near Sanghyeon Station. If you're trying to figure out where to go for a family meal, a get-together, or a work dinner, this might be a good reference haha.
Location and entrance signage

It's close to Sanghyeon Station, so it's easy to get to. There's a green table and outdoor seating in front of the restaurant, which looks great for outdoor dining in this weather!

The sign at the entrance said there's currently a ₩5,000 discount on takeout. You can take home freshly boiled jokbal at a good price, so I'm thinking of getting takeout sometimes too. The hours were also clearly posted — 11:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., no break time — so it seemed easy to visit whenever. And as a jokbal spot near Sanghyeon Station should, there was a sign saying they boil 100% domestic fresh trotters daily, which raised my trust even more!
Interior and menu

The inside was much cozier and cleaner than I expected. Maybe because it's a new place, but it was so clean, which I liked.

Looking at the menu, there was a real variety — warm freshly boiled jokbal, charcoal-grilled fire jokbal, BBQ soy-glazed grilled jokbal (sweet and salty), BBQ charcoal salt-grilled jokbal (light flavor), and even tender bossam (boiled pork wraps). Ordering the set menus seemed like a good way to enjoy more variety.
Origin labeling has been a big issue lately, right? At this jokbal spot near Sanghyeon Station, the origin information was honestly posted in a corner of the restaurant — jokbal, cabbage, napa cabbage, rice, all domestic, clearly stated. That gave me confidence.
After some thought, we ordered two flavors: the honey garlic jokbal with sweet garlic sauce on top, and the BBQ soy-glazed grilled jokbal with its tempting soy seasoning!
Basic setting, side dishes, and makguksu

While waiting, they set up the basics first. Does it really need to look this neat and upscale? Everything from the sauces to the lettuce wraps came out so tidy! The wraps included lettuce, perilla leaves, cheongyang chili peppers, cucumber, and carrot, plus three sauces — ssamjang (dipping paste), shrimp sauce, and fire jokbal sauce.

The fresh kimchi and radish greens looked vivid in color, and they really were crunchy and fresh — my chopsticks kept reaching for them.

They gave us bottled water instead of regular filtered water, which felt more hygienic. The bean sprout soup served as a basic side was also clean-tasting — a clear, light broth that paired perfectly with the jokbal.

And makguksu comes included as standard...! Great news for someone like me who can't eat jokbal without makguksu.
Honey garlic jokbal & BBQ soy-glazed grilled jokbal set
The jokbal finally arrived! I couldn't resist ordering soju after seeing it. The honey garlic jokbal had a generous layer of sweet garlic sauce on top — mouthwatering just to look at!!!

The BBQ soy-glazed grilled jokbal had soy seasoning soaked in all the way through, so the color alone looked delicious. They also mixed the makguksu for us skillfully. Tangy and spicy — so good, ugh.
Cheers~~ resisting soju with jokbal ,, how am I supposed to do that ,,

The jokbal had no gamy smell at all, soft yet chewy in texture, so my hand kept reaching for more. The honey garlic jokbal was sweet and chewy with a fragrant garlic sauce piled on top — really delicious. Thanks to the garlic sauce, I never got tired of it and kept eating. The BBQ soy-glazed grilled jokbal was also full of smoky flavor — so, so good. They lightly charred the outside with fire, which gave it great texture too.

Wrapping it in perilla leaf or lettuce with the garlic sauce on top made it even tastier.

Eating it together with kimchi balanced things out and cut the richness, so I kept going. The dried radish strips were really tasty too, but the fresh cabbage kimchi was especially good — crunchy and spicy.

The makguksu that came included had a tangy-sweet seasoning that made it perfect for cleansing the palate in between bites. It was also great eaten alongside the jokbal.
Review event and parking

There was also a receipt review event running — if you write a review and show it to staff, they'll give you a free seaweed rice ball as a service. Worth keeping in mind if you're planning a visit.
If you're driving, you can use the building's basement parking, which offers 2 hours free. Being a jokbal spot near Sanghyeon Station with easy parking too, it seemed like a stress-free choice for a work dinner or gathering!
Worth keeping in mind if you're looking for a good jokbal restaurant near Sanghyeon Station, and the fact that they boil domestic fresh trotters daily and sell it same-day was a reassuring point to trust. A comfortable place to visit with family or friends whenever you're craving jokbal near Sanghyeon Station.
