The best mango bingsu I've had at Fruit Forest so far

Hi everyone. I heard there was a café near Simhaksan in Paju that does really good mango bingsu, so I came to check it out. Even the name is unusual — Fruit Forest 🥭🍍🥝 There's a big parking lot too, so no parking hassle, and the location is easy to find. Park wherever, go through the automatic doors, and head up to the 2nd floor.

The moment you walk in, there's a huge amount of mangoes. No wonder — as I was going up the stairs the sweet, tangy fruit smell was so strong I thought, what is this?... and then my jaw actually dropped. It's hard to see this much mango even at the supermarket...!

Mangoes and all sorts of fruit lined up everywhere. Looking at each one, they're all in such good condition... You can eat desserts made with fruit this fresh? Where else does a place like this exist ㅠㅠㅠ Right here, at Fruit Forest Paju Direct Store near Simhaksan.

What we ordered: mango bingsu and an iced americano

We were going to order one bingsu and one drink. Now came the endless debate over which bingsu, which drink... Gotta be careful about this!!!

Since mango was so overwhelmingly front-and-center as soon as we walked in, I picked the mango bingsu🥭🍧 and an iced americano🧊☕️. Looking again, this place really lives up to the name Fruit Forest... tomato juice, kiwi juice, watermelon-mint juice ㄷㄷㄷ... there's even a mixed fruit bingsu, and I want to try one of everything ㅠㅠㅠ but I'll hold back.

There were tons of other desserts too. The mille-feuille, churros, and banana brûlée all looked so good... ah, why did we come here already full ㅠㅠㅠ Someone please try them and report back... I saw the table next to us eating churros and it looked genuinely amazing.

Simhaksan sunset through the floor-to-ceiling windows

Fruit Forest Paju Direct Store is super clean inside, and it really fits that whole 'forest' image.

Especially beautiful was the Simhaksan sunset visible through the floor-to-ceiling windows in Paju. Look down and you'll catch that red glow — take a look! My parents thought it was gorgeous too and kept snapping photos. There were a lot of families — from little kids to teens, adults, and grandparents — all clearly enjoying the whole Fruit Forest vibe. The sunset was so pretty that everyone in the café was taking photos haha.

Chatting away while looking at the cute rabbit mural, our bingsu and drink were ready before we knew it.

Mango bingsu with mango cut thick, not thin

Fruit Forest's mango bingsu doesn't shave the mango thin — it's cut thick and piled on top. There are cheese cubes tucked in the middle, and ice cream on top too.

Look at the visual ㅠㅠㅠㅠ... incredible, incredible. How many mangoes did the owner even use...? Cheese cubes in the middle, ice cream on top — it's just perfect... Why go to a hotel for mango bingsu. Eating mango bingsu at Fruit Forest while looking at that pretty sunset — that's dopamine, that's happiness.

Usually with mango bingsu they shave the mango super thin, right? Look at the thickness here. They cut it really thick ㅠㅠㅠ I was genuinely moved. Even my picky parents threw up their hands in amazement at how much mango they packed in...! My mom especially said it was the best bingsu she's had in a while!

I tried it too, and it really was the best. Thanks to the thick-cut mango, it genuinely felt like eating real fruit, and the balance between the milk ice, the cheese cubes, and the ice cream was perfect. I can't eat mango bingsu anywhere else now...

We really shoveled it in. Gotta eat fast before it melts. Didn't leave a drop — finished it all before it could melt...!!!

The iced americano and what to do with the mango syrup

After the sweet bingsu, time for a sip of iced americano to cleanse the palate. Nothing pairs with sweet, sweet bingsu like a nutty, slightly bitter iced americano. The coffee itself was great too. I like a nutty americano, and this was exactly the flavor I wanted.

They told us to drizzle the syrup in front little by little while eating the bingsu! We added it to the milk-ice bingsu, and the mango aroma got so much stronger — delicious.

After one bite, my mom just dumped the whole syrup container in... super sweet, but the mango aroma was so intense you couldn't help but keep eating... We scraped the bowl clean, going back and forth like 'are we eating too much? this is seriously good,' and then my dad said stop eating and look behind you — what? I turned around and oh my, I nearly missed this gorgeous view while stuffing my face haha ㅠㅠ

Who should visit Fruit Forest Paju Direct Store?

Once everyone saw this view, the whole café suddenly went quiet except for the sound of camera shutters ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ!!! Near Simhaksan, so there's plenty to see, great location, big parking lot, delicious bingsu, generous fruit portions, and a gorgeous view on top of it all — I really recommend Fruit Forest. It's a café that everyone from little kids to parents' generation can't help but love. Especially the mango bingsu — please, please, please try it. Come with a group and try a few different bingsu... I'm so curious about the other flavors too ㅠㅠㅠ
