A few days ago I was craving something sweet, so I went to Standard Square, a café in Songdo, Incheon 💖 I'd heard for ages how pretty it is and really wanted to visit, and once I got there I immediately understood why so many people come!! You can feel the care in everything, from the coffee to the desserts, so it's great for a date and also for chatting with a friend 🤭

Is parking easy at Standard Square in Songdo?

Even though I came by car, parking at Standard Square's Songdo branch was easy. So it felt stress-free to visit!!

When parking is a hassle, I sometimes hesitate to go back, but here I could park easily and relax in the café, which made me even happier 👍

What's the mood like as a Songdo date café?

Standard Square is a warm, cozy café with generous spacing between tables and a spacious interior. The moment I walked in I loved the atmosphere, and it was a comfortable place to spend time ✨️

Wherever I took photos, the mood came out pretty, so I kept naturally picking up my camera! It's also good for quiet conversation, so I'd really recommend it as a date spot 💖

What coffee beans does Standard Square use?

What really charmed me is that Standard Square introduces a new specialty coffee every week!! I didn't have coffee this time, but I definitely want to try it next time, and I'd love to try the new seasonal desserts too. Little changes like these are probably what make you want to come back ✨️

Beans roasted in-house at the coffee lab in Namdong Industrial Complex

I heard Standard Square roasts its beans itself with a Giesen roaster at its coffee lab in the Namdong Industrial Complex ☕️ That means the 4 house blends and the decaf coffee are all extra fresh.

There's also a weekly specialty coffee, so I imagine every visit would bring something new to try. Roasting good beans themselves shows real sincerity about coffee!

Standard Square, which started in Songdo

Standard Square opened its first shop in Songdo, Incheon in 2018 and has been loved ever since 💖 In 2022 it opened Cookie Lab and the Bupyeong branch, and in 2024 the Coffee Lab, so it now runs 4 spaces: Songdo, Bupyeong, Cookie Lab and Coffee Lab!

I felt more trust knowing it has kept the same feel and taste for so long 👍 Maybe that's why it seems like a place everyone looking for a café in Songdo, Incheon visits at least once.

Why the desserts at Standard Square are so good

All the desserts at Standard Square are baked in the shop! 😊👍 They say they use only good ingredients, like organic flour, grade 1 antibiotic-free eggs, French chocolate and fresh cream, and organic sugar, so I could see why it tastes so good 💖

Maybe because they're baked in-house, the desserts were moist and full of flavor. Even as someone who loves desserts, I was really satisfied.

What I ordered at Standard Square

This time I ordered three things at Standard Square: one drink and two desserts.

• Tropical iced tea
• Pistachio ganache
• Red velvet cream cheese

The drink and dessert combination was so good that I ended up taking a ton of photos.

Thoughtful service too

After I ordered, the staff brought the drink and desserts right to my table, which made waiting more comfortable 😊 It's a small thing, but thanks to this kind of thoughtful service I enjoyed my time from start to finish.

Tropical iced tea, a great alternative to coffee

Standard Square's tropical iced tea is caffeine-free, so it was easy to drink without worry. The freshness and sweetness of tropical fruit blended together so well that every sip felt cooling in my mouth!

It's a great drink for hot weather, so I'd recommend it even to people who can't drink coffee. It also went so well with the desserts that I kept reaching for it.

How does the red velvet cream cheese taste?

Standard Square's red velvet cream cheese has smooth, rich cream cheese between moist layers of cake, so I just kept eating it. It looked so pretty, too ❤️

The sweet, slightly tangy cream cheese wasn't greasy at all, and I enjoyed it down to the last bite.

Pistachio ganache is for pistachio lovers

Standard Square's pistachio ganache is a dessert where the rich, nutty pistachio flavor fills your mouth from the first bite. If you love pistachio, I think you'll be really happy with it.

With the smooth texture ganache is known for, I was truly happy 💚 It isn't just sweet but has a refined flavor, so I think it would go really well with coffee too.

Is Standard Square in Songdo worth going back to?

Delicious drinks, carefully made desserts and a comfortable atmosphere: the whole time I spent at Standard Square was satisfying 💖 The fresh beans roasted in-house and the desserts baked in the shop every day made it feel even more special.
