I went back to Heeol Hair Gangnam Flagship Store, where I was really happy with root magic straightening before. My previous designer, Deputy Manager Jo Eun, didn't have a slot that matched my schedule, so I dug through reviews and booked with Designer Lee Hyun instead — and I was just as satisfied this time. It's near Gangnam Station CGV, within a 10-minute walk from either Gangnam or Sinnonhyeon Station.

Interior atmosphere and amenities

Even at the very first slot on a weekend morning, 10 a.m., customers poured in right at opening. There were foreign clients too, and staff who speak English were on hand, so communication was smooth.

From the moment you walk in, Heeol Hair Gangnam greets you with such a kind, comfortable welcome and warm vibe — it's the kind of Sinnonhyeon-area hair salon that just puts you in a good mood ♥

The wood-tone interior and full-length windows give a nice sense of openness with a touch of atmosphere, so even long treatments like straightening, perms, or coloring feel comfortable to sit through.

There are separate men's and women's restrooms inside the salon, so no awkward moment of stepping outside in a gown with something on your head haha.

Consultation for root magic straightening on color-treated hair

Root magic straightening — I do it regularly, and the time had finally come again. Even with blow-drying, my hair wouldn't stay calm and kept curling.

After reading reviews, I booked with Designer Lee Hyun, and the consultation was thorough from the start. Since I'd colored my hair recently, she let me know beforehand that the solution touching it could cause slight color fading, and she adjusted to a gentler solution for my hair's condition. I also decided to add the A-course clinic on top.

They gave me a gown with my own name tag on it, and used disposable covers for cleanliness, which I appreciated — zero grossed-out feeling. 🫧

Then wrapped and left to sit, while Designer Lee Hyun checked whether the solution had absorbed well before moving me to the shampoo room!

Heeol Hair Gangnam is honestly a go-to for a good choco latte.. 🖤 And without even asking, they brought me a charger, so I got to sit comfortably scrolling my phone.

Rinsed with the A-course clinic shampoo, then applied moisture/oil protein, put a hot pack on my neck, and rested a bit. Absolute paradise ,, 🫧

Then the real straightening began with the flat iron, section after section .. ✨ She carefully smoothed even near the hairline.

Once the wavy hair was fully straightened, I lay down in the shampoo room for neutralizing. Normally neutralizing is done sitting up and feels cold — having the solution sprayed on like that is genuinely unpleasant — but at Heeol Hair Gangnam, the foam neutralizing is done lying down comfortably, so every step felt easy.

Before: wavy and messy hair ,, ^^ Especially at the crown, where the straightening had grown out, it looked scattered and unruly even after blow-drying.

After: after getting root magic straightening and the clinic together with Designer Lee Hyun at Heeol Hair, a Sinnonhyeon-area hair salon, my hair became so calm. And thanks to the hair care treatment done alongside, there was definitely no damage.

✔️ Before and after at a glance The before shot is a bit flat because I hadn't washed my hair before going ,,^^ but after the root magic straightening, the calmness is on another level even without blow-drying.
