I did scalp scaling and a hair care clinic together with designer Subin — old scalp buildup care, a nourishing treatment that tamed the frizz, and even a little gift at the end. Very satisfying 🙌🏻

Inside Heeol Hair: salon atmosphere and the shampoo room

Natural light poured in through the full-height windows, so the whole time I was getting treated felt open and relaxing rather than stuffy.

The shampoo room has an electric bed that reclines almost 180 degrees plus a soft blanket set up, so lying down for a long stretch of shampooing and scaling put zero strain on my back or neck!

The restroom sink area was spotless too — individually wrapped disposable gargle sticks and hygienic cotton swabs were lined up neatly. Perfect touch for freshening up quickly after a long treatment before heading straight to my next appointment ✨

For drinks I had orange juice, and the cheese crackers were delicious!! haha

The outlet at the treatment chair table had a charging cable that covers USB-C, 8-pin, and 5-pin all at once. Being able to use my phone without worrying about battery during the clinic was really convenient.

My ends were dry, lifted, and frizzy from dyeing and perming, and my scalp's moisture-oil balance had also thrown off from the changing season, leaving light flaking and a stuffy feeling. Designer Subin walked me through the products and steps she'd use one by one. She explained a silicone-free scalp-pack-and-treatment hybrid that doesn't clog pores, plus a hair care line with microalgae plankton from clean seas — I already trusted the process before it even started 🤍🤍

How the scalp scaling and hair clinic are done, step by step

After the consultation we got into the actual scalp cleansing and hair scaling. The scaling formula came with a thorough massage — the fingertip pressure was just right and it felt like old fatigue melting away all at once :)

To help the nourishing ingredients penetrate deep into the hair, they put a hair spa steamer over my head for a concentrated moisture steam. I rested my arms on a cushion and leisurely scrolled my phone while enjoying the cool drink and snack they'd prepared.

Before and after: how much frizz did the clinic tame?

Hair that used to tangle and puff up at the ends with every comb-through settled down calmly with a natural weight to it 💛 It wasn't that heavy, artificially greasy oil-shine — protein filled in from the inside so the surface caught an angel-ring gloss, and running my fingers through it slid smoothly with zero snagging. Totally different feeling!!
