Shaded two-family F2 site at Chuncheon campground Urban Slow City

Hi, this is Ttami. Mornings and evenings are finally getting cooler, which makes it a great season for camping. Last weekend I went with a friend's family to Urban Slow City, a kids' campground in Chuncheon, and I'm writing up my review — it was packed with things for the kids to do, and the sinks, restrooms, and showers were all so clean that it made a great family campground in Chuncheon!

Urban Slow City in Chuncheon also lets you enjoy water sports, and with caravans and full-option glamping available, you can visit even without your own gear. I booked the two-family site Family 2 (F2) through Urban Slow City's Naver Reservation page and visited with a friend's family.
Why the F2 two-family site stays shaded all day
The spot we used at Urban Slow City was the F2 site, made for two families. I'd recommend it as a prime spot because it stays shaded the entire day 😎
It's not right next to the kids' facilities, but the distance to the play zone, restrooms, and sinks was still convenient for going back and forth with the kids.
It was great being able to sit comfortably without direct sun even without pitching a tarp. (Since the sun doesn't reach the site in the morning either, we moved the tent into the sun in the morning to dry it out.)
Snack shop, arcade machines and toddler board games in the management building
Urban Slow City's management building has a snack shop. True to a kids' campground in Chuncheon, there are also arcade games and board games ready for young children.
What's in the playground? Slide, viking swing and trampoline
Right in front of and behind the management building at Urban Slow City there's a play area with a slide, swings, a trampoline, and a sand playground.
The viking swing was my first kid's favorite! She usually swings with her cousin like a viking boat at the playground anyway, so she was thrilled there was an actual viking swing here.
Also, all of Urban Slow City's car camping, riverview caravan, and full-option glamping zones are close to the playground, so getting around is convenient. The riverview caravans really looked stunning.
What are the restrooms, sinks and shower rooms like?
Urban Slow City's facilities were also pleasant and clean, which made things convenient to use. There's a shared fridge, kids' toilets in the restrooms, and individual shower rooms come with shampoo, conditioner, and even a hair dryer — making it a great spot as a kids' campground and family camping destination in Chuncheon.
One night at Urban Slow City: grilled gopchang (beef intestines), samgyeopsal and a campfire
Camping = eating all day long. We checked in at 13:00, pitched the tent, sorted out our gear, and our first food was grilled gopchang (beef intestines)!
We ate, went to the playground, and even brought games back from the management building to play — with so much for the kids to do, time seemed to fly by even faster.
Our second meal was samgyeopsal (pork belly) — a camping must-have. The kids were given eomuk-tang (fish cake soup), and having played so hard, they ate even better than usual.
In the evening we sat by the campfire having a heart-to-heart talk show with the kids 🤣 As it got dark, the lights came on at the full-option glamping site across the way, making the atmosphere even better.
Is Urban Slow City worth it for two families with kids?
This was my review of Urban Slow City in Chuncheon, which I visited while looking for a kids' campground near Seoul. My friend's family was also very satisfied, saying the facilities were so pleasant and great to bring kids to. If you're looking for a kids' campground, family campground, or caravan/glamping site in Chuncheon, I'd definitely recommend checking out Urban Slow City!
