Songpa jokbal restaurant with spicy half-and-half pork: Narae Jokbal

There’s a delicious jokbal restaurant on Songridan-gil in Jamsil. It’s right in the middle of the Songridan-gil hot spot area, and from the outside I thought it was a stylish café—not a jokbal place!!!!!!!!!!!!

As a Songridan-gil jokbal restaurant, it’s more than good enough for a date or a get-together with friends. And it tastes great too—I was so surprised that a value-for-money spot in Jamsil could give you this much service 🤩

It’s newly opened, and both the exterior and entrance are seriously stylish. They also have discounted lunch specials, so I completely recommend it for nearby office workers craving jokbal or bossam (boiled pork wraps), or for a friends’ get-together :)

Location on Songridan-gil and opening hours

It’s on the first floor at 18 Baekjegobun-ro 45-gil, Songpa-gu, Seoul. It opens daily from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 a.m. the next day, and parking is unavailable.

Because it’s inside Songridan-gil, there wasn’t separate parking. But it stays open late and doesn’t have a break time, so it’s simply an ideal restaurant.

They even had clean high chairs ready, and I loved the mix of retro and polished vibes! You can’t help saying, “Is this really a jokbal restaurant? The atmosphere is so nice.”

There were also clean men’s and women’s restrooms inside.

There are cute little doll decorations at the entrance too. Clean and perfect in every way.

The prices were lower than I expected, but the portions were truly enormous. None of us expected it to be this generous... We ordered the large jokbal + spicy jokbal combo for ₩53,000 :)

There were bossam sets too, with lots of different combinations for anyone who wants to try everything :)

I really loved that they had high chairs. We didn’t bring a baby that day, but finding a jokbal restaurant with such a clean high chair made me think, “We could bring one here!” You know that happy feeling?

Side dishes and complimentary items

You can pick up extra side dishes at this self-service corner!!

There are six side dishes and three sauces. The bossam radish kimchi was so good, and with radish kimchi, seasoned scallions, pickled radish wraps, napa cabbage kimchi, cucumber and carrot, garlic, and lettuce, what more do you need?

A place where sundubu-jjigae (soft tofu stew) just comes with the meal... It was seriously delicious. It arrives in a ttukbaegi (earthenware pot), so anyone drinking will probably polish this off with a bottle in no time.

The makguksu (buckwheat noodles) that comes as a basic side... Ahhh... It’s complimentary, but it may as well be a main dish. The portion is so generous. You order just one jokbal, and they give you this many extras~

This is complimentary too. How to get the flying-fish-roe rice ball service: write a receipt review!! If you write one, they give you these flying-fish-roe rice balls too. Here, once you order a main, you can basically eat all the sides as freebies—could there be another place like this in Jamsil... They give you everything ㅠㅠ The best.

Tender jokbal and a generous serving of spicy jokbal

The main dish came out soon after. I was shocked by how much there was. Usually with a half-and-half order, the spicy jokbal portion is smaller, but here it was huge.

And why was the jokbal so tender and delicious too ㅠㅠㅠㅠ The catch is that I want to eat it again right now~ Hehe ㅜ So delicious.. ♥️

From now on, if someone asks where to go for jokbal around Jamsil, I’ve decided on Narae Jokbal. I’m so happy a place like this has newly opened. I’ve discovered an amazing restaurant!!!!!!!

They even give you patbingsu (shaved ice with sweet red beans) as a real finishing touch, and how can complimentary patbingsu be this good hahaha. It tasted like patbingsu from a dedicated dessert shop. We ate so well, right through to dessert, that we were stuffed.

We were too full to just leave after eating, so we walked around Seokchon Lake and Lotte World Mall. Narae Jokbal is perfect even down to the walking route once you step out onto Songridan-gil—there’s no reason not to go.. If you’re looking for a good Songridan-gil restaurant, definitely visit! I’m going again next time. That jokbal was so delicious..
