Daejeon burger restaurant with pepper sauce: Buggies Tangbang

I visited Buggies Tangbang, where the handmade burgers are delicious. It has such a hip vibe—almost like you have stepped abroad.

When the weather is cool like it has been lately, I think it would be so nice to eat outside too.

Solo-dining seats near Tanbang Station

There are seats for solo diners too, so I recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to eat alone in Tanbang-dong! It is a five-minute walk from Tanbang Station, and I noticed lots of customers from the nearby academy district stopping by.

The restaurant is super clean and really feels like an overseas burger joint. There were actually lots of people dining alone that day too!

When you walk in, the staff energetically greet you with, “Welcome to Buggies~!” It made me feel even happier.

Ordering the Godfather and Hangover sets

You can enjoy the burgers à la carte or as a set. Their signature choices include the Godfather, Hangover, Mushroom, and Pepperoni Fries. There were two of us, and this is what we ordered!

You order using the table-order system! While we waited after ordering, I noticed plenty of delivery orders coming in too. Buggies Tangbang also offers delivery, takeaway, and group orders.

Burger customization and extra toppings

For extra burger fillings, haystack (thin fried potato shreds), cheese, and a fried egg are +₩1,000; hash browns and bacon are +₩1,500; avocado is +₩2,500; and a patty is +₩3,500. Add them for an even more generous burger.

You can simply leave your finished dishes on the table! Every menu item can be customized, and onions, tomatoes, and lettuce can be added for free!

There is also a Naver receipt-review event, and they say you can win various prizes through scratch-off lottery tickets. That sounds like so much fun ><

There is a variety of drinks, so you can choose one to suit your taste! At the self-service bar, there is ketchup, mustard, chili sauce, and hot sauce.

One especially thoughtful thing at Buggies Tangbang is the sink at one side of the restaurant. I loved being able to wash up and eat neatly before and after the meal.

When you order a drink, the ice cup and beverage are served separately.

My first handmade burger

It was my first time trying a handmade burger (whisper whisper). Buggies Tangbang is already a famous spot in Tanbang-dong, so when I sent my friend a photo, they immediately knew where it was!!!

Since we ordered sets, the fries come separately too!

The included ketchup, plus the mix pepper and cheese sauce I added! Every sauce was delicious ㅠㅠㅠ

The Godfather's classic combination

Since it was my first time, I ordered the signature menu. The Godfather has a patty, nutty cheese, fresh tomato, red onion, and pickles—sweet-tangy dill pickles, too! It is made up of exactly the combination that comes to mind when you think of a burger: a classic combo, so of course it cannot be bad.

I topped it with mix pepper, and it was delicious. Next time, I think it would be nice to add it directly to the burger.

The Hangover's hash brown and fried egg

The Hangover burger comes with a hash brown and fried egg. I took a bite, and it was soft, with such a great combination of patty flavors! If you are looking for a great burger spot in Tanbang-dong, Daejeon, run to Buggies Tangbang.

The bun is hugely important in a burger too, and I loved how fluffy and soft it was!

Fries are indispensable with a burger. Dip them in the chewy cheese sauce, and you immediately get that nutty, rich cheese flavor—so this is why people dip fries in cheese sauce..!

The mix pepper was totally my personal favorite!! As I ate, I got so curious about the pepperoni fries and sweet potato fries that I am going to try those next time!! I visited with my dad, and he was completely satisfied too. Everyone, he said burgers are the perfect carb, protein, and fat combo.
