Yeongdeungpo tteokbokki takeout, weekend parking discount excluded
In short
Hyeonseonine Premium IFC Mall Branch is a tteokbokki (spicy rice cake) restaurant in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul, tucked in the basement level of IFC Mall near Yeouido Station Exit 3. On a sunny fall outing, the writer picked up the Hyeonseonine Set (tteokbokki, fried snacks, sundae, mini gimbap) to go, found the Blue parking pillar closest but learned weekend and holiday parking discounts are excluded storewide across Street Shop tenants. Order to pickup took under 30 minutes — if parking fees worry you, takeout is the answer.

A weekend craving for Korean snack food! Hyeonseonine Premium at IFC Mall, a Yeouido tteokbokki spot known for its delicious spice.

Have you noticed how blue the sky's been lately? Fall has arrived. Still hot at midday but dry enough to bear, and the evenings have that cool, gentle breeze that lets you sleep without the AC 🩵
On a sunny Sunday, I went out to Yeouido to browse fall clothes, and once I got hungry I found myself craving spicy tteokbokki, so I stopped by Hyeonseonine, said to be a top Yeouido tteokbokki spot.
Finding Hyeonseonine from Yeouido Station
I looked up the exact location and details of Hyeonseonine Tteokbokki through the IFC Mall app. The explanations were really clear and helpful.

Park at the Blue pillar — weekends lose the discount
The parking pillar closest to the restaurant: Blue. Underline that — it's genuinely a great tip. It helped me find my way easily.
On weekdays, parking fees can be discounted based on purchase amount, but apparently Hyeonseonine is excluded from parking discounts on weekends and holidays. Under IFC Mall's parking policy, every Street Shop tenant is excluded from parking discounts on weekends and holidays. Worth keeping in mind.

(left) Hyeonseonine Tteokbokki storefront (right) Side of the restaurant. The side has plenty of room for outdoor tables and chairs, which seems handy if the restaurant is full or if you're waiting without eating.

See the moving walkway? Follow the people on it and you'll reach Yeouido Station Exit 3. Hyeonseonine Tteokbokki, this IFC Mall restaurant, was easy to find.
Seating and the self-serve bar

Inside, there are six 2-seat tables and four 3–4 seat tables, and outside there are six more tables seating 2–4.

This Yeouido IFC Mall restaurant does instant tteokbokki, cooked at the table! Every table has an induction burner installed.

The self-serve bar. You can refill danmuji (pickled radish), tteokbokki's best friend, guilt-free — just don't take more than you'll eat. There's soy sauce for the fried snacks, salt for the sundae, small dishes, spoons, aprons, and wet wipes. Alright, battle stations ready. I think I'm all set to demolish this tteokbokki.
Ordering the Hyeonseonine Set to go

Since it was takeout, I ordered the Hyeonseonine Set (tteok-twi-sun-gim — rice cake, fried snacks, sundae, gimbap). If I'd been eating in, I'd have wanted the bogeul-bogeul (bubbling) menu, doubled up.
I hurried home. 🚗 The whole car ride, the smell of the fried snacks and sundae had me so impatient, haha.

Double-packed in a paper bag and a plastic bag, full of care. Nice work, boss.
The fried five

🔺 Fried snacks 🔺 Sweet potato fritter, gimmari (fried seaweed noodle roll), mandu (dumplings), vegetable fritter, fried squid. All five fried snacks present and accounted for! An assorted fry platter, and it's great!
Mini gimbap

🔺 Mini gimbap 🔺 Ah — I wish I could send you the smell too. The moment I opened the lid, that sesame oil aroma woke up my senses. Pure art. I almost grabbed one and popped it straight in my mouth ^^; Don't underestimate the mini gimbap just because it's small — it's packed with filling.
Sundae

🔺 Sundae 🔺 Sliced neatly and plated beautifully. The sundae (Korean blood sausage) and its accompanying organ meats were still warm and chewy. Honestly, tteok-twi-sun-gim — this combo is a winner. I'll be dunking it straight into the tteokbokki sauce soon 😋
Tteokbokki

🔺 Tteokbokki 🔺 Honestly, just looking at this photo now is making me hungry all over again. The rice cakes were soft and chewy, the sauce wasn't murky but still soaked all the way into the rice cakes. Full-on tteokbokki love.
Takeaways from the takeout run
- There were a lot of people waiting for takeout orders.
- Finding the restaurant was easier than expected.
- If you're worried about parking fees, I'd recommend takeout — order-to-pickup takes under 30 minutes.
- I'd recommend the Hyeonseonine Set — good for 2–3 people.
Hyeonseonine Tteokbokki, this Yeouido IFC Mall restaurant, gave me a proper Korean snack food set for the first time in a while. Every single item was delicious, nothing to skip. Don't just stick to Yeoptteok (a chain) — go try new tteokbokki spots too.

Okay, this is getting a little embarrassing. Nothing left, like it was transferred straight to a plate and licked clean.. @@ I swear everything written here is true 🙏 Let's eat well. Today, too, I ate very well.
