In short
Andover is a Western restaurant with a terrace in the café alley of Baekhyeon village in Pangyo, Seongnam. The writer ordered jambon cream pasta (25,000 won) and lasagna (22,000 won) with a glass of white wine, and the al dente noodles and light cream sauce stood out. Andover's exterior and terrace seating

Doesn't the exterior alone have such a nice vibe?! There are tons of good-looking Western restaurants in Pangyo's Baekhyeon village, but Andover really stood out to me🥰 It even has a terrace, making it the perfect date spot now that the weather's cooling down..🌿

Inside Andover: from first dates to group gatherings
The atmosphere was pretty great as soon as I walked in! The owner greeted me so kindly that I felt good even before the food arrived..🩷
Overall it wasn't too loud and had a cozy vibe, so it seems like a good spot for dates or blind dates. And the inside was way bigger than I expected, so I'd recommend it for group gatherings or company dinners too😎 (When I actually visited, there were a lot of families having a glass of wine.)
Andover's corkage policy: free with your own glass
Turns out Andover has quite a few menu items that go well with wine. I love wine, so I was so satisfied!!
And the corkage fee was super cheap too. If you bring your own glass, corkage is free, and if you don't bring one, it's ₩5,000 per person 🫢 (very wine-friendly, noted...) Next time I'm definitely bringing a bottle I really like.
What we ordered at Andover and what it cost
- Jambon cream pasta 🍝 ₩25,000
- Lasagna 🧀 ₩22,000
All the pasta options looked delicious, so I think I spent a solid 10 minutes just agonizing over the menu..😭 (The Naver reviews were all so good..)
Jambon cream pasta: perfectly al dente noodles
The jambon cream pasta came out first! At Andover, they make and sell all sorts of sauces (cream, basil, etc.) themselves!!

So that raised my expectations even more.

First of all, it passes the visual test..🫠 The cream was savory yet appropriately smooth, so it was more addictive than I expected!! (Not the least bit greasy—light and clean, through and through.) And when I eat pasta, one thing I pay attention to is how well the noodles are cooked, and this place nailed it, hahaha.

Not overly soft, but not too firm either — just the right chewiness that felt great paired with the sauce!!🤭 I personally like pasta noodles cooked this way, so I was quite satisfied (al dente... is that the word..? hahaha)

Eating the pasta, jambon, and arugula together, the flavor was seriously insane..🤤 (I want to eat it again..that light cream pasta..😭)

I couldn't resist and ordered a glass of white wine right away.. The wine was delicious too ㅠㅠ

Lasagna at Andover, generously filled
Next up, lasagna! I ordered this too, and honestly there was way more filling inside than I expected. Sometimes with lasagna you get layers of noodles with barely anything inside, but here the filling was really generous!!

The cheese and sauce blended together nicely and it was easy to eat, and it was so filling because of all the hearty ingredients inside. If you like lasagna, I think you'd enjoy this one without any complaints. Still, between the two dishes I had that day, the jambon cream pasta was more my taste! (The noodle texture was truly on another level..)
Who is Andover best for?
Beyond the food, Andover clearly has such a nice atmosphere that it's a great place to sit for a long time. It feels less like a place you rush through a meal at and more like somewhere to order something delicious, sip some wine, and talk for a while.
Especially if you love wine, I think the menu here would pair perfectly, so I highly recommend it! Corkage is also free if you bring your own glass, so it's great for visiting with a bottle you already have at home hehe. If you're looking for a good-vibe Western restaurant in Pangyo's Baekhyeon village, or a restaurant to pair with wine, I think Andover is worth checking out!
Next time I visit, I want to try other pasta menus, and I'll be sure to bring a bottle of wine with me too hahaha. If you're looking for a place with a great atmosphere in Baekhyeon village, I recommend Andover 🤍
