Seonyudo burger restaurant: crunch chicken burger set, BAS Burger
In short
BAS Burger Seonyudo is a handmade burger restaurant right in front of Exit 4 of Seonyudo Station in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul. Two of us ordered the crunch chicken burger set for 13,100 won and the BAS burger set with the side swapped to sweet potato fries for 13,600 won, along with unlimited James potato chips and sauce combinations from the self-service bar. The chicken patty with BAS burger sauce and the BAS burger with ranch sauce were the two combinations worth repeating.

Today I'm sharing a review of a proper handmade burger I enjoyed near Seonyudo Station. I visited BAS Burger Seonyudo, a place that's easy to eat at solo and has a menu solid enough that I'll keep coming back whenever I'm craving a burger.
Where it is and what it feels like: right outside Seonyudo Station Exit 4
BAS Burger Seonyudo comes into view the moment you step out of Exit 4 of Seonyudo Station (Line 9), so even first-timers won't have any trouble finding it. The access from the station is really excellent, making it super convenient to visit.
Stepping inside, the space feels clean but is full of that distinct American diner vibe. The solo seating and 2-person table setup are especially well arranged, making it a perfect spot if you're looking for a place to eat alone near Seonyudo Station. The atmosphere lets you eat comfortably without feeling self-conscious, and there were actually a lot of solo diners on weekday lunches and dinners.

Unlimited potato chips and a neat little self-service sauce bar
BAS Burger's signature perk is definitely the James potato chips that come free with your meal. Customers can help themselves as much as they want from the self-service bar — the chips aren't thick and have an addictive crunchy texture, perfect as a snack while waiting for your burger. You can mix and match sauces too, from ketchup to mayonnaise, so the wait for your burger never felt boring at all~
Above the chip station on the self-service bar, there are little props and decor pieces that show off the owner's cute taste, so it's fun just to look around — the whole space felt really charming!

What we ordered and what it cost
We visited as a pair this time and ordered mainly from the most popular best-seller menu.
- Crunch chicken burger set ₩13,100 (default french fries)
- BAS burger set ₩13,600 (side swapped to sweet potato fries)
The base set price is ₩12,100, but swapping the BAS burger set's side to sweet potato fries added ₩1,500, bringing the total to ₩13,600. Being able to swap sides according to your taste is a big advantage of BAS Burger.
An honest look at each menu item
Crunch chicken burger with BAS burger sauce: the best pairing
This is a menu item with an impressive chicken patty that's crispy outside and juicy inside. It's genuinely, genuinely delicious~ It's my personal top pick among chicken patties!!! The crunch when you take a bite is out of this world, and I recommend pairing it with the BAS burger sauce!
BAS burger with ranch sauce: the other pairing to try
True to being the signature menu item, it boasts a classic yet well-balanced flavor. It shows off the textbook definition of a clean, savory handmade burger. The basic flavor is already great, but pairing it with ranch sauce makes for an incredible match with the patty, so definitely try this sauce combo!
French fries or sweet potato fries: which side to pick
The default french fries are plain and savory, a classic combo that never fails. On the other hand, the sweet potato fries — swapped in for an extra ₩1,500 — have a uniquely sweet, crunchy texture that was very satisfying. Dipping the sweet potato fries in ketchup gives you the textbook sweet-and-salty combo, so if you want to try something different from regular fries, I highly recommend switching to sweet potato fries!

When dining in at BAS Burger, you can enjoy drink refills, unlimited chips, and free use of the sauces, so I'd recommend eating in the restaurant~
