24-hour Korean restaurant in Goyang with pyeonyuk: Pyeongando
In short
Pyeongando Restaurant Hwajeong Branch is a 24-hour Korean restaurant in Hwajeong-dong, Goyang, Gyeonggi. I tried the ₩15,000 mixed sundae-guk set, with two kinds of sundae and especially good pyeonyuk, though the portion was too big for a refill. Verdict: a satisfying late-night-or-anytime soup spot with a kiosk menu worth checking closely.

Can you feel autumn approaching? As the weather gets cooler, I’m already craving a warm bowl of soup.
There aren’t many restaurants these days that you can visit comfortably at any time, 24 hours a day, right? I found one this time and wanted to introduce it to you!

This is Pyeongando Restaurant Hwajeong Branch (평안도식당 화정점), where the generous amount of Korean meat made the ingredients feel fresh.

Pyeongando Restaurant Hwajeong Branch hours and parking
- 108, 1st floor, 24 Hwajung-ro 104beon-gil, Deogyang-gu, Goyang, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea
- Open 24 hours daily
- Unlimited sundae (Korean blood sausage) refills: 11:30 AM–2 PM, 5:30 PM–8 PM
- Parking is available in the building, but there are almost no spaces on weekends
- One hour of free parking is available at Deogyang-gu Office right across the street
Deogyang-gu Office parking rates and weekend parking
You can park in the building on weekdays, but on weekends you’ll need to use off-site parking.
There’s a public parking lot at Deogyang-gu Office right in front of the restaurant. You get one free hour on weekdays, and parking is free on weekends and public holidays.

After the first free hour on weekdays, it’s ₩190 per 5 minutes, and it operates from 8 AM to 9 PM. Maybe because weekends and public holidays are free, but when I went around Saturday lunchtime, the ground level was full and the underground lot was nearly full too, so I had to wait a bit before parking.
Unlimited sundae refill hours

- 11:30 AM–2 PM
- 5:30 PM–8 PM
Sundae refills are available, so it’s a great place for anyone who loves sundae.

It felt fresh and trustworthy to know that all the meat in the sundae-guk, yukgaejang, seolleongtang, and more is Korean.

Table kiosk and the basic setup
There are additional dishes on the table kiosk that aren’t on the menu board on the wall, so I really recommend looking carefully through the screen at your table before ordering.

The table has spicy seasoning paste, salted shrimp, roasted salt, and ground sesame, so you can adjust the amount to your taste.

The basic side dishes are napa cabbage kimchi, kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi), chives for adding to the soup, spicy peppers and onion, and ssamjang (savory dipping paste).

Ordering the mixed Pyeongando sundae-guk set
I ordered the mixed Pyeongando sundae-guk set (₩15,000). It’s sundae-guk with both meat and sundae, served with pyeonyuk (pressed sliced pork) and two tasty kinds of sundae.

The pyeonyuk was totally my thing. The sundae was proper, really good sundae too, so I enjoyed every bite!! So deliciousㅠㅠ
I deliberately didn’t have a bowl of rice, but it still felt like quite a large portion. So I couldn’t even get a sundae refill haha. The refill is regular glutinous-rice sundae.

The men at the next table were having the sundae-gukbap and offal set, which were currently discounted by ₩2,000. I asked because the set arrangement was a little different, and it turned out to be the offal set. It looked so deliciousㅠㅠ
I didn’t know because it wasn’t listed on the menu board on the wall. I was so hungry before I even sat down that I ordered right away haha.
Definitely look through the entire table-kiosk menu before ordering! Since it comes with sundae liver and lung as well, if two people visit, I think it would be nice to order one offal set and one sundae-guk set, then share the sides.
A broth that isn’t overpowering
The broth is barely seasoned, so I recommend seasoning it with salted shrimp or salt. I actually liked that it wasn’t overpowering.

Maybe because the meat in the sundae-guk is Korean, it was moist and tender. Adding lots of chives made the flavor come alive even more.

Pyeongando Restaurant menu and prices
There are lots of dishes besides sundae-guk! Since it’s open 24 hours, you can come anytime when you want something else, like yukgaejang, stir-fried sundae, or hot pot.
- Sundae-guk set ₩15,000
- Special sundae-guk set ₩17,000
- Boneless gukbap set ₩16,000
- Spicy sundae-gukbap set ₩17,000
- Pork-bone hangover soup set ₩15,000
- Spicy hangover soup set ₩16,000

The traditional yukgaejang set, Korean beef head-meat gukbap set, and premium seolleongtang set are all ₩15,000. Gamjatang (pork bone stew) is ₩35,000 for small, ₩45,000 for medium, and ₩55,000 for large, while the stir-fried sundae on a hot plate and hot pot are the same price as gamjatang for two to four people! The sundae here was good, so I’m so curious about the stir-fried sundae!!

Specials and side dishes
- Half plate of sundae ₩11,000
- Full plate of sundae ₩20,000
- Half plate of pyeonyuk ₩11,000
- Half assorted platter ₩19,000
- Full assorted platter ₩32,000
- 8 galbi mandu ₩6,000
- King mandu: 2 kimchi + 2 meat dumplings ₩5,000
The pyeonyuk here is delicious. It’s a great menu item for a light drink accompaniment. There’s also an assortment with everything from sundae to assorted offal! If children don’t eat sundae very well, I think the galbi mandu or king mandu sides would be a good option too.
