Hamjjirang Tojjirang in Docheok-myeon, Gwangju: location and parking
Hamjjirang Tojjirang (햄찌랑토찌랑), in Docheok-myeon, Gwangju, sits on the airy outskirts, making it just right for a drive out.
There was parking directly in front of and around the building, so bringing a car was easy. Its cute, tidy exterior had me excited before I even went in.
It is near Hwadam Botanic Garden, so it works nicely as part of a driving route. Parking is available right in front of the café.
Convenient facilities for relaxing before and after the animal activities
Once inside, there is a clean, well-kept café area. This place has not only things for children to do, but also a really good selection of food.

Food lineup
There is Hangang ramen (instant ramen cooked at a self-service station) for when you are hungry, chewy gelato, all kinds of drinks, and savory pizza.
Convenience
Being able to take care of both a meal and dessert in one place before or after the animal activities made the visit comfortable for parents, too.

Parents can sit and rest on the benches while taking in the wide-open view, while children happily interact with the animals.
Animals we met during the feeding activity
Animal feed costs ₩3,000.

In the outdoor and activity areas, you can meet a variety of animal friends up close. The highlight of this Gwangju animal experience was definitely the feeding activity.

Animals in the activity area
Cute animals including sheep, mini pigs, rabbits, ducks, and goats welcome you.

The feeding activity, the main event here, was such a fulfilling time to make eye contact and interact closely with different animals.
Inside, there are more adorable friends, including baby rabbits, ferrets, parrots, and hamsters.

You can also see reptiles and mammals up close, which I think will make a memorable experience for young children.

Do not miss the baby rabbit interaction zone

The space I especially want to recommend when you visit Hamjjirang Tojjirang is the Baby Rabbit Interaction Zone.
Price: ₩10,000 / Time: 30 minutes
In the separate interaction zone, you can spend 30 minutes touching and interacting directly with gentle, tiny baby rabbits.
It was a genuinely lovely emotional experience for children and the program we were most satisfied with.

A full and fun day with a child

It was such a full day: we interacted directly with animals with our child and enjoyed tasty food, too. If you are looking for a worthwhile animal experience in Gwangju, Gyeonggi without going too far on the weekend, I definitely recommend visiting Hamjjirang Tojjirang!
