Today, I had gyukatsu at Izawa Yeouido Direct Store, right in front of Yeouido Station.

I visited because I had been craving gyukatsu for the first time in a while, and grilling each piece yourself over a tabletop brazier made it fun to eat, too.
Storefront and atmosphere

Izawa Yeouido Direct Store was close to Yeouido Station, so it was easy to get to. It seemed like a good location for lunch or a date in Yeouido, and a nice stop for anyone looking for a good place to eat near Yeouido Station.

The interior was clean overall and had a comfortable atmosphere for a meal. It did not feel at all intimidating to visit alone, so it would also be a good choice when looking for somewhere to dine solo near Yeouido Station.

I also spotted an autograph from Lim Young-woong, whom I like, on one side of the restaurant. I had only come for a meal, so finding it unexpectedly made me look twice for no reason, haha.
Menu and prices

The signature menu includes the gyukatsu set, curry gyukatsu, ramen, and more. We did not hesitate and ordered two gyukatsu sets at ₩18,000 each. If it is your first visit to Izawa while looking for Japanese food near Yeouido Station, starting with its signature gyukatsu set would be a good idea.
Grilling the gyukatsu set over the brazier

The gyukatsu set comes as a full meal with rice, soup, salad, and side dishes.

A small tabletop brazier is set in front of the gyukatsu so you can grill it yourself.

Simply place one piece of gyukatsu at a time on the brazier and grill it to your preferred doneness.
It cooks quickly, so I put on only what I was about to eat, lightly grilled both sides, and ate it right away. It was nice to have hot, freshly grilled gyukatsu, but the process of grilling each piece myself was quietly fun, too.
Rather than just having a meal, it was nice to chat with the person I went with while grilling, so I think it would work well as a Yeouido date spot, too.
Sauce and wasabi combinations

Two kinds of sauce and wasabi are served with it, so you can combine them to suit your taste instead of eating it in only one way.

Alternating between the two sauces and wasabi let me enjoy even the same gyukatsu with slightly different flavors, which I liked. Personally, the sharp kick of wasabi alongside the rich gyukatsu made it especially clean and easy to eat.

Overall
Izawa Yeouido Direct Store was fun because you can grill gyukatsu yourself over a tabletop brazier. The gyukatsu set was neatly put together, and I also liked having two sauces and wasabi to mix and match according to my taste.
