Ansan BBQ restaurant bulgogi set, cheese steamed egg: Cheongnyuok

Cheongnyuok, a BBQ restaurant in Ansan's Bandalseom. Today I'm bringing you a review of a great spot for lunch or dinner out in Bandalseom! With a clean, spacious interior, a great-value lunch special, and plenty of filling beef and pork options, I visited Cheongnyuok. In today's post I'll cover everything from the menu to my visit :)

Where is Cheongnyuok, and how close is it to Banwol Industrial Complex?

Cheongnyuok sits right in the center of Bandalseom, making it super accessible for office workers' lunch group meals or a dinner out! It's especially close to Banwol Industrial Complex, so quite a few people come here just for a meal — if you drive, parking support is available when you use the building's lot, which was convenient :)

Right at the entrance I noticed a special event running through October! On designated 369 dates, if you order 400g of pork belly, you get an extra 200g free — a pretty amazing deal 👀 My date didn't line up so I missed out, but if yours does, definitely time your visit for it 👍

Also, with Chuseok (Korean harvest holiday) coming up, they had holiday meat gift sets ready to go! Seeing the good-looking cuts right from the entrance, I thought ordering a holiday set from a place you've actually seen and tasted in person might beat ordering online ~

Inside Cheongnyuok: table spacing and the private room

Walking through the door, the first thing that catches your eye is the clean, spacious interior! The well-maintained space stays pleasant, and the tables are set wide apart, making it a perfect spot to focus fully on conversation with coworkers or family while eating :)

There's also a separate private room on one side, which seems handy for group dinners or family gatherings where you want a bit of separated space!

What's on the menu at Cheongnyuok

Cheongnyuok has a varied menu that everyone can enjoy, from the main grilled dishes to solid lunch options. Beef and pork are both available by cut, so you can order exactly what you're in the mood for — that's the advantage!

On top of that, there's a great-value lunch too! Hanwoo doenjang stew, ttukbaegi bulgogi (hot pot bulgogi), galbitang (short rib soup), and more come at pretty reasonable prices, so plenty of people come just for lunch :) The set meal comes with rice and stew included, so you get carbs and protein covered in one filling meal 💪

How is the beef bulgogi set meal, and what side dishes come with it?

Not long after ordering, a neat spread of basic banchan was set out — and I was honestly surprised to see marinated crab included. It was packed with meat, spicy, and truly a rice thief 🦀

We ordered Cheongnyuok's signature beef bulgogi set meal, known for how neatly it's presented! It arrives in a special hot pot piled high with beef bulgogi, green onion strips, mushrooms, and glass noodles. The sheer volume alone is impressive 👀

The beef wasn't tough at all — tender and soft with every bite. Why can't my homemade bulgogi ever look or taste like this 🤣

Piling the soft bulgogi and glass noodles with green onion over white rice and mixing it all together makes for a truly filling meal 👍

The set meal comes with rice and stew, and that doenjang stew was surprisingly good. Savory yet a little spicy-tangy, the broth cut through the sweetness of the bulgogi nicely :)

We also thoroughly enjoyed the cheese egg soufflé we added as a side 😎

The egg soufflé puffed up soft and fluffy, nearly spilling over the top of the hot pot, topped with cheese! The softness of the egg and the richness of the cheese melt together and just dissolve in your mouth 🤤
