When you go out for a meal with your parents on the weekend, it’s surprisingly hard to choose, isn’t it? Rather than something overly intense, I end up looking for somewhere my parents will enjoy too, where we can have a satisfying meal 😊 Dolsoe Ssambap was a great spot for a family meal, with a table full of assorted wrap vegetables, stir-fried pork, doenjang-jjigae (soybean paste stew), and side dishes. Especially considering the ₩14,000 per-person price, the spread was really generous. And especially!! If you love wraps, I think you’ll enjoy it even more 🌿
Dolsoe Ssambap exterior and atmosphere

Dolsoe Ssambap was a Korean restaurant that felt perfect for a relaxed meal with my parents. I visited with them over the weekend this time. It’s not always easy to match everyone’s tastes for a family meal, but ssambap (rice and fillings wrapped in leafy vegetables) is something everyone can eat comfortably, which was nice 😊

The interior was really spacious, so I think it would be great for a big family gathering too.

There really were lots of families dining there!
Ssambap menu and prices

Beef brisket, thin-sliced pork belly, Dolsoe stir-fried pork, and beef bulgogi ssambap are ₩14,000, while stir-fried octopus ssambap is ₩16,000. I think it’s seriously good value, because you also get a whole spread of side dishes 💙 The stir-fried pork I had was ₩14,000 per person, and the set was very generous for the price! Eating a proper Korean meal out has become pretty expensive these days, but a full table like this for ₩14,000 didn’t feel burdensome.
A full stir-fried pork ssambap spread

There seemed to be about six side dishes too, from stir-fried fish cake to seasoned seaweed stems. Rather than having just one or two things on the side, it felt a little like a home-cooked meal because I could alternate between all sorts of dishes. 🥹 Dolsoe Ssambap’s biggest strength is definitely the wraps 🌿 It wasn’t just one kind; they prepared a generous variety of wrap vegetables, so it was fun wrapping each bite of meat.

The steamed egg had what seemed like perilla oil or sesame oil drizzled all over it, and it smelled sooo fragrant!!

Such fluffy egg, haha

Pick a leaf, add a little rice and some stir-fried pork, then take a big bite—it really made me think that Koreans and ssambap just belong together 😂🥬 I also liked that there were so many vegetables to choose from depending on your taste. Seasoned meat like stir-fried pork is so much cleaner and more enjoyable when you wrap it in greens, you know?

It’s disappointing when you go to a ssambap place and get only a little veg, but true to its name, this place let us enjoy plenty of all kinds of wraps 🌱🥬 When it looked like we were nearly finished, the owner asked if we needed more wraps and said they could bring us more 🥹💙 The service was so kind too!! There was enough stir-fried pork as well, so I could keep making wraps without holding back. With rice, stir-fried pork, wrap vegetables, side dishes, and doenjang-jjigae all together, it was a really well-rounded meal.

This is a place I think I’ll remember whenever I want a filling Korean meal with my parents. The biggest plus was getting a table full of stir-fried pork, assorted wraps, doenjang-jjigae, and around six side dishes for ₩14,000 per person 😊 I think it would suit anyone who loves wraps or enjoys having lots of side dishes laid out like a home meal. My parents enjoyed it too, so it was great for a family visit 🥰 Actually, this was my third visit too. My parents said they had come here together last time and paid for it themselves, haha. If you want a hearty stir-fried pork spread with a variety of wraps, I recommend Dolsoe Ssambap 🌿💚
