Where is Waltz and Dr. Mahn?
Waltz and Dr. Mahn is a large café on Bukhangang-ro in Joan-myeon, Namyangju. It sits right in front of the river, so the view is amazing. We were trying to figure out where to go this weekend when we heard there was a large café in Namyangju with an incredible atmosphere, so we went — and the vibe and the food were both so pretty that it's a place I want to come back to.
The moment we parked, we were already amazed at how huge the building is..
What is the outdoor terrace like?
Waltz and Dr. Mahn also has plenty of outdoor seating — and this particular spot! Eating delicious food while looking out at the river and mountains would genuinely be so nice.... ✨

There are really so many outdoor tables hahaha. With weather like this these days, eating outside with a gentle breeze would be.. so nice
Indoor window seats for a chilly day
It was a bit cold that day, so we sat at an indoor table. The indoor hall at Waltz and Dr. Mahn is really.. isn't it enormous?!? With the wood-toned interior and plants placed here and there, the atmosphere was insane..
It would be so nice to come here with family too hahahaha. The interior totally feels like a fancy European restaurant!
We picked a seat by the window! We came in with high expectations, but the atmosphere was so good it still got us ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ Two very happy people. It felt like walking onto a Harry Potter set hahahaha
What we ordered: Honor & Chevalier and flower tea
At Waltz and Dr. Mahn we ordered the Honor & Chevalier and a tea. The service here is genuinely another level! While seating us, the staff explained every single item on the menu!! (It truly felt like being pampered!) Waltz and Dr. Mahn has a huge lineup of coffee, tea, wine, and more.
This is the Honor & Chevalier. It felt like a totally elevated version of the frappe I loved as a kid!! A sweet condensed-milk latte brewed from premium beans, topped with ice cream and all kinds of fruit!
And this is the blue-something tea! I had a bit of a cold coming on, so I ordered a hot tea too! Isn't the teacup so pretty hahahaha
There's really so much fruit on it! Kiwi, macaron, cherries and more — all my favorite fruits piled on! It felt like eating a coffee fruit bingsu (shaved ice dessert) hahaha (totally satisfied!!!!)
They poured the tea into the pretty teacup for us, little by little
Flower tea that deepens in color with lemon juice
Isn't the color so, so pretty! The really fascinating part! When you add just a bit of lemon juice, the color gets deeper and deeper! Bambi and I found it so amazing that we spent ages just staring at it while sipping hahahaha
The macaron was rich and dense too, honestly delicious!
Aren't the petals in the tea so pretty hahahahaha. Purple, green, pink. I hadn't had flower tea in a while, and it felt like my blood was getting purer or something(?), it was so nice.
The taste was slightly tangy and sweet with a rich fragrance, totally lovely haha
Is Waltz and Dr. Mahn good for a date or blind date?
I'd totally recommend Waltz and Dr. Mahn for a date or blind date with your partner! The soft lighting makes the atmosphere even better hahahaha. Maybe that's why, even with the place packed with customers, it wasn't noisy at all and we could focus on our conversation!
They plated out all the fruit that had been on the Honor & Chevalier for us hahahaha. Grapefruit, kiwi, orange and more — isn't it really so much? The plate was completely full
The ice cream was so soft and delicious too! Kind of like a super premium version of Seorak (a soft-serve ice cream)? hahahaha
The tea also came in a generous amount, warming us up nicely — so good hahahahaha

The piano was so pretty too,
and the interior was so gorgeous hahahahaha. This was honestly my favorite café out of any I've visited recently, so I decided to do a dinner course here for my birthday!! (100% genuine intent to return)
I loved this place so much,, the best café in Namyangju
Walking around outside, you really feel the scale of the place hahahahaha. Next time I want to come back timed so the sunset is just starting to glow before the sun goes down!!! If you're looking for a big café in Namyangju, or a pretty date spot just outside Seoul, I highly recommend Waltz and Dr. Mahn 💕
