Suwon beef BBQ with Mom: 1kg for two, leftovers to go at Sogogi Twist

While looking for a good BBQ place near Yeongtong-gu Office, I heard a value-priced beef restaurant had just opened, so I went with my mom! She loves beef anyway, so I came with high hopes, haha. And it was even better than I expected, so I think I'll go again. It would be perfect with a friend who eats a lot.

Packed at 6pm on a Tuesday, so reserve ahead

We arrived around 6pm on a Tuesday and the place was already almost full... it was almost embarrassing to take photos, haha. Lots of families were eating, and I saw several tables of company dinners too. Luckily I had reserved, so we sat down right away without waiting!

The basic side dishes (banchan) were already set out for us, which was nice, haha. I recommend reserving before you go on weekday evenings!

Ordering a 1kg beef platter at the kiosk, and the vibe

You order at a kiosk, and we chose the 1kg beef platter. It's a BBQ restaurant, but it feels a bit like a trendy café. The lighting is bright and the interior is clean, so it seemed good for a family meal, a date or a company dinner.

The moment it came out, I just had to take photos. I'd seen it in lots of reviews beforehand, but in person it was a real "wow" sight. I immediately filmed a video for Instagram, haha.

1kg for two, with the leftovers packed to go

I judged it good value by the price alone, but once I ate it, the meat quality was really great too! It's honestly a lot for two people, so we couldn't finish it, and the staff neatly packed the leftover meat for us.

We inhaled the meat in no time... and I regretted not bringing my dad. There was just so much, it felt endless. Was 1kg always this much? Haha.

Mul naengmyeon on a hot day

I thought about ordering a stew, but it was so hot that we got mul naengmyeon (cold buckwheat-style noodles in broth) instead, and even the naengmyeon portion is huge, haha. I was already really full, but the noodles were so good that I finished them. I felt like I'd burst, yet once I started eating they went down easily? Hahaha... the fast track to becoming a pig...

Self-serve banchan and a phone charging corner

The side dishes are self-serve and you can keep eating them, so we never ran short the whole meal, haha. They go well with the meat, so I kept reaching for them. It's also nice that you can grab more whenever you need without feeling awkward about asking!

One side of the restaurant has a space for charging your phone, and I thought that was such a thoughtful touch. It's awkward to ask staff to charge it every time, right? Haha.

Would I go again? Yes, with the whole family

It was a meal where I was happy with both the price and the meat quality. My mom especially loved it, haha. It's not just good value; they've also put care into service and atmosphere, and I felt it works well for family meals and company dinners alike. A total thumbs-up as a Yeongtong-gu Office favorite! Next time I'll bring the whole family.
