Paldang rooftop pizza date at Pibing, a Namyangju restaurant

Paldang is a must when you’re thinking of date spots! I found a seriously atmospheric restaurant there and had to go. The food was great, of course, but the vibe totally hit my taste too, so I had to introduce it 😁

Parking

There’s a dedicated Pibing parking lot with plenty of spaces, so parking was easy haha.

Exterior

The exterior is insanely hip with such a good vibe lol. That red neon sign really stood out! It kind of felt like we’d come to a pub abroad lol. Follow the stairs up and you’ll find the entrance.

Pets are welcome haha. But as with any shop, a pet carrier or stroller is required!

First-floor ordering and menu

The interior had even more of a vibe than the exterior... it was full-on beachside pub energy. Apparently there’s also a Pibing in Yangyang, and because it became so popular, they opened this location near Seoul at customers’ request!

You order on the first floor and eat upstairs, and there were so many menu options!

We visited on a weekday evening, so we ordered the weekday couple set (₩39,900) and Pibing Maek (₩9,000)! The weekday couple set is discounted for Pibing’s 10th anniversary, so ordering it on a weekday is such a steal! It includes a 10-inch pizza, pasta, and two drinks.

Then we had to choose a pizza and pasta, and there was no extra charge! We skipped Como Estás because it has cilantro, then agonized over the Cheongyang carbonara pizza and onion bacon pizza before choosing the Cheongyang carbonara pizza, with truffle mushroom cream pasta! 😆

What are the second floor and rooftop like?

The second floor was decorated with a getaway feel too, and surfing videos played on a huge screen, making it feel even more like Yangyang lol. And what really made me think, “Yep, this is a date spot,” was that couples overwhelmingly filled the place lol. The atmosphere is so good for a date 👍🏻

The self-service bar had Parmesan cheese, sriracha, side plates, forks, knives, and more. Those DJing props were seriously hip lol. They were fun to look around at lol.

There were all kinds of tableware ready, plus organic barley tea?! Organic, so I couldn’t pass that up! Wow, it was so refreshing lol. You really have to try it lol. It was nutty and so refreshing it felt like it cleared me right out lol.

They even had high chairs and dog dining tables lol. So cute lol 👼🏻🐶 As you’d expect from a pet-friendly restaurant, those thoughtful touches were such a nice touch lol.

Third-floor rooftop

The rooftop is Pibing’s real charm. The atmosphere was so nice, and especially if you visit with a dog, it seems like an even better place to relax over food. You get delicious food in an open space, so I think you’d be even happier visiting on a day with lovely weather like these days!

If you use the rooftop, you need to pick up your food on the second floor first lol. And of course, return everything to the second floor too!!

Weekday couple set and Pibing Maek

We ate on the second floor! Pizza, pasta, and Pibing Maek piled high with snowflakes! Doesn’t it all look so appetizing? 🤤

The snowflakes aren’t just ice—they’re shaved frozen beer, and they say you should scoop some up first lol. (If you mix it, it explodes!! lol)

It looked like a single-serving bingsu (shaved ice dessert) lol. Apparently it was incredibly refreshing... ahh... When Ddabong is born, I’m going to come drink pizza and beer too...!!!!!! You have to order it lol. It apparently clears you right through....

Even the drink tray had a great vibe haha. And they gave us a light too lololol. Turning on just that one light made the mood come alive! It really had the full atmosphere of a pub abroad lol. The light was a little bright, though, so the food didn’t show up well in photos—I hid it away just for those moments lololol.

The owner told us the Cheongyang carbonara pizza could be spicy, and that we could leave out the Cheongyang chili peppers if we can’t eat spicy food. I thought, “How spicy could it be?” but the heat from the peppers came through more than I expected! My husband ate it happily, saying, “It’s spicy, but just right?” lol, but it was a little hot for me, so I took some of the peppers off haha.

Still, the rich, nutty carbonara flavor with that spicy kick was strangely addictive! As expected of Paldang restaurant pizza... the flavor was the best!

The truffle mushroom cream pasta was a choice I was so glad we made! The thick, nutty cream sauce had a subtle truffle aroma and was so delicious. Paired with the spicy Cheongyang carbonara pizza, they balanced each other out beautifully! 👍🏻

Especially when you dip the pizza in the sauce like this—so good!! We ended up scraping the sauce clean lol. It was seriously thick and the combination was perfect lol.

Satisfied from the food to the rooftop

It’s in a great spot to stop by while driving, and the atmosphere is lovely too, so it’s a great place to visit if you’re planning a Paldang date! If you want to enjoy delicious food and a relaxed atmosphere together, I recommend Pibing, a Paldang date restaurant! 👍🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
