The weather has been seriously so nice lately,,,! It feels like a waste not to go out on days like this, and I was getting restless trying to decide where to go. I found this large café in Namyangju while looking for somewhere with a great view that was not too far from Suwon. There are honestly so many large cafés in Namyangju, but I wanted one that was pretty, had a lovely view, and felt stylish inside too!
Waltz and Dr. Mahn hours and first impressions
Waltz and Dr. Mahn (왈츠와 닥터만) is at 856-37 Bukhangang-ro, Joan-myeon, Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, and is open from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Right from the entrance, it reminded me of an old, luxurious family home. It has a European feel, and the terrace seats were decorated so beautifully too, haha.
Waltz and Dr. Mahn is not just an ordinary café—you can enjoy four things here: coffee, dining, classical music concerts, and the coffee museum! The coffee museum is open from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with final entry at 4:00 PM, and it is regularly closed every Monday and Tuesday. We arrived at 5 PM on Sunday and there was a wait! Luckily, everyone cleared out and we were first in line, so we got in after about 10 minutes!
We sat here while waiting, and isn't the view seriously so pretty? ㅠㅠㅠ The weather and sky that day were completely healing,,,!
There were lots of people at Waltz and Dr. Mahn even at 5 PM on a Sunday! Plenty more guests arrived after that too!
Dining seats perfect for an anniversary date
These are the dining seats! The atmosphere is seriously,,, so beautiful, right? ㅠㅠㅠ I think it would feel so lovely to make a reservation and come here for an anniversary. If you are looking for a large café in Namyangju for an anniversary date, I recommend the dining seats at Waltz and Dr. Mahn! Plus, there are classical music concerts if you come on Friday.
Even if you are not in the dining section, the view is lovely from the inner seats too, haha.
The seating inside is completely antique, right! It looks like you have come on a trip abroad, haha.

The tables and chairs feel old-fashioned yet luxurious, right? The view is beautiful, but the chairs and tables inside are not the usual café design either, so it really made me think I was glad we came here!
Further inside, there are sofa seats like this! The softly muted pink color of the sofas was totally my taste too, haha.

Honor and Chevalier and Costa Rica Tarrazú

Honor and Chevalier is said to be Waltz and Dr. Mahn's signature drink, created in honor of the chivalric spirit of medieval knights. Dutch coffee or cold milk is paired with vanilla and chocolate ice cream, French macarons, and fresh seasonal fruit! It had seasonal fruit on top and tasted like a coffee shake underneath, haha. It was surprisingly filling even on its own?
Costa Rica Tarrazú is made with evenly matured coffee grown at elevations of 1,200 to 1,800 meters in the Tarrazú region. They say it balances the brightness of tropical fruit with the sweetness of brown sugar.

An elegant café that takes coffee seriously
I noticed “1989–2089” written on the napkin, and it says they aim to create a prestigious coffee house pursuing a 100-year tradition! As someone who has been to lots of cafés, this really does feel like a place whose 100-year tradition could continue, haha.
The interior was so beautiful that my phone camera seriously did not get a moment of rest, haha.
Where is this place? It really feels like somewhere that takes coffee seriously, right! This is my first time at such an elegant café, haha.
Namyangju is not exactly nearby, but this is a café I really, really want to recommend at least once 🌟 I seriously,,, genuinely recommend Waltz and Dr. Mahn, a large café in Namyangju 👍🏻 Bring a date here and it will totally win her over 🌟
