Choi Dining Yangju Okjeong location and exterior
The restaurant is on the second floor! Even the sign gives off such a Japanese vibe 💨

Even from the outside, the place looked clean and pretty. It really felt like I had come to a restaurant in Japan, haha.
What is the atmosphere inside like?

The dining room was really spacious and comfortable. There were lots of tables for four, too. The atmosphere was so nice that it made me feel relaxed, haha.
The menu and the salmon dishes we ordered

Here are Choi Dining's menu options. Prices are roughly between ₩13,000 and ₩17,000. We ordered the salmon futomaki (5 pieces) for ₩13,900 and salmon kkakdugi for ₩16,500.

They also have a review event, so keep that in mind! There are other review events listed on the menu, too.

First, they bring out side dishes and udon broth. Then, after a little wait, the food arrives!

Salmon futomaki and salmon kkakdugi! They originally had sake-don (salmon rice bowl), but I guess it changed to salmon kkakdugi. I missed out on salmon kkakdugi when it was all the rage, so honestly, I liked this better, haha.

Palm-sized salmon futomaki
First, I tried the futomaki. The presentation is incredible.

This thing is seriously not small... it was almost the size of my palm. Whoa. To eat it in one bite, you really have to open your mouth wide, haha.

But once you add the sauce and take a huge bite, it is so delicious!! All the ingredients inside went together really well. Especially the salmon-and-shrimp-tempura combination—so good!!

Salmon kkakdugi wrapped in seaweed
And next, the salmon kkakdugi!

They served seaweed sheets with it too, and wrapping it up was really delicious. The sriracha mayo, salmon, and rice all went so well together, haha. But the wasabi here is super spicy. Be careful...

The salmon was so springy, fresh, and delicious. I heard this place is also known for tonkatsu, so next time I want to try that. Haha, I recommend it for a light lunch in Okjeong!
