Staff grill everything at the table, so a 550g Handon assorted set and 180g galbi pork belly arrived cooked, finished with steamed rice and yukmong jjolmyeon–bi-naeng (chewy and buckwheat spicy cold noodles). I went to Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch, a newly opened spot in the Bangi-dong food alley.

Being a newly opened place, it had a clean and upscale vibe from the exterior to the interior. Especially with room-style spaces in the basement, it looked good not just for family dinners but also for gatherings and anyone looking for a Bangi-dong dinner spot.
That day, we ordered the Hanwoo pork mixed set along with a serving of galbi pork belly, and filled up with yukmong-jjolmyeon-bimyeong and steamed rice as our meal course. The staff grilled the meat for us, so we could relax and just eat from start to finish.
Where Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch is and when it opens
Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch is located at 9-13 Ogeum-ro 15-gil, Songpa-gu, Seoul, using the basement floor and 1st-2nd floors above ground. It's open daily from 12:00-24:00, with a break time only on weekdays from 15:00-17:00.
Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch sits within the Bangi-dong food alley, home to a variety of restaurants and bars.

The exterior felt cleaner and more polished than a typical BBQ restaurant, and being newly opened, everything was kept spotless overall. It felt comfortable enough for a date and also suited a meal with a group.

Inside, wood-tone interiors blended with soft lighting for a calm yet upscale atmosphere. Each table had a grill plate and ventilation neatly installed, and seats were spaced comfortably for easy dining. Everything from the tables to the interior facilities was spotless, true to a newly opened place, which made a great first impression.
Basement rooms at Yukmong: good for group dinners with kids
What I especially liked about Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch was that the basement space is divided into individual rooms. Walking down the stairs to the basement, independent spaces continued one after another.
Each table had its own separated space, so we could eat comfortably without worrying much about other guests, and it looked good for family gatherings, group meals, or dinners with several people.

It would also suit anyone in the Bangi-dong food alley looking for a Korean BBQ place with a slightly more private atmosphere.
A corkage-free Korean BBQ in the Bangi-dong food alley
Another thing that stood out at Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch was that it's corkage-free.

There was also a wine cellar set up on one side of the restaurant. Since Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch is corkage-free, it was great for pairing the meat with whatever wine we wanted.
Being able to bring your own drinks to enjoy with the meat is especially appealing for anyone who likes to drink or is looking for a place for gatherings or dinners. With room-style spaces available too, it looked useful for special occasions or gatherings with several people.
※ I'd recommend checking with the restaurant about corkage conditions before visiting.
What we ordered and how the table kiosk works

- Hanwoo pork mixed set 550g
- Galbi pork belly 180g
- Yukmong-jjolmyeon-bimyeong
- Steamed rice
That day, we started by ordering the Hanwoo pork mixed set along with a serving of galbi pork belly. On top of that, we ordered steamed rice to go with the meat, and yukmong-jjolmyeon-bimyeong as our final meal item.
Being able to taste a variety of cuts with the mixed set while also enjoying the galbi pork belly made it a perfect combination for us, since we wanted to try a range of meats.

Ordering is done via kiosk right at your seat haha 😆
Side dishes and the complimentary doenjang jjigae

The basic side dishes came out quite generously too. Kimchi, pickled vegetables, shredded green onion, and lettuce wraps were all neatly arranged, perfect for eating alongside the meat.
I was especially surprised by how substantial the complimentary doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) was. It was loaded with tofu and vegetables, and the broth was rich, more like a menu item you'd order separately than a free side dish. Eating it with rice was perfect for resetting our palate between bites of meat.
Handon assorted set 550g plus galbi pork belly 180g

Ta-da~~ The pork mixed set + galbi pork belly looked delicious just by looking at it 💚 The moment the meat arrived, the thick, hearty look caught our eyes first. Along with the meat, king oyster mushrooms, eggplant, sweet pumpkin, and onions — vegetables perfect for grilling — were neatly arranged on one plate.
Rather than ordering just one cut, being able to taste several cuts one by one and enjoy the differences in texture and flavor was great. With galbi pork belly ordered on top, we had plenty of quantity to enjoy.
Staff grill every cut at the table 💙
What was especially convenient at Yukmong was that staff grilled the meat for us directly! Thick cuts of meat taste different depending on how they're grilled, and since they grilled each cut on the plate according to its type, we didn't have to worry about anything and could just eat.
At a BBQ restaurant, one person often ends up busy grilling the whole time and can't properly join the conversation, but with the staff grilling for us, we could enjoy the meal at ease while chatting with each other. It seemed like it would be especially convenient for gatherings or dinners with a larger group.
The golden-brown grilled meat looked delicious just to look at. Eating it warm right off the grill, we could really taste the juiciness and savory flavor, and each cut had a different texture, which made picking through them one by one fun.
The vegetables that came with it went great grilled alongside the meat too, and I was glad we'd ordered the galbi pork belly from the start. Galbi pork belly, complete 🩷
Since we visited with our little one, the owner grilled the pork neck a bit more well-done just for them 👍👍
Finishing with yukmong jjolmyeon–bi-naeng cold noodles
After eating a good amount of meat, we ordered the yukmong-jjolmyeon-bimyeong.

There's a cold noodle-mixing pro living in our house 🥹 It had a sweet, tangy, and refreshing flavor that suited the finishing course perfectly after eating meat. Eating the chewy noodles with a piece of meat confirmed once again that the meat-and-bibim-noodles combo never fails.
We also ordered steamed rice to eat heartily with the meat, and finished cleanly with the yukmong-jjolmyeon-bimyeong at the end.
Is Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch worth it? Final verdict
Newly opened in the Bangi-dong food alley, Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch was a great place for a comfortable meal, from the clean and upscale atmosphere to the service of staff grilling the meat directly.
We got to enjoy the Hanwoo pork mixed set together with galbi pork belly, and adding the yukmong-jjolmyeon-bimyeong made for a hearty meal. With basement room seating and corkage-free service, it also seems good for family gatherings, group meals, or anyone looking for a Bangi-dong dinner spot.
If you're looking for a clean, upscale BBQ restaurant in the Bangi-dong food alley where you can eat comfortably with the meat grilled for you, Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch might be worth a visit.
