Gijang outlet restaurant with waiting area and antique decor: Bueokgan
In short
Bueokgan Restaurant is a Western-style restaurant on the 1st floor of the NORTH building at Shinsegae Simon Busan Premium Outlets in Gijang, Busan. The antique-styled space has a waiting area, baby chairs and group seating, and the shrimp anchovy oil pasta, abalone innard cream risotto and pastry soup were all worth ordering, with the pasta's noodle texture and the sweet pumpkin soup standing out. It's a solid pick when you need both atmosphere and taste during a day of outlet shopping.

While looking for somewhere to eat at the Gijang Shinsegae outlet, I noticed a huge crowd at a Western restaurant called Bueokgan (부엌간) and had to check it out — turned out to be a pasta hotspot in Gijang ⭐️ The vibe was also unreal ⭐️

Bueokgan's location and how to find it
1133 Jeonggwan-ro, 1st floor, Unit 180, Jangan-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan, South Korea

It's located behind the escalator next to the UGG store in the outlet. Head all the way to the end of NORTH building's 1st floor and you'll spot it.
Hours and break time
Mon–Thu 10:30–20:30 (last order 20:00) / Fri–Sun 10:30–21:00 (last order 20:30). Pretty late hours for a restaurant inside an outlet, right? There's no official break time, but on weekends when crowds are heavy, there may be a brief pause while they restock ingredients.
Parking info
Just use the parking lot at Gijang Shinsegae Outlet! Doesn't seem like there's a separate parking fee haha.
Atmosphere and seating — waiting area, baby chairs, group tables

Head all the way inside and you'll see the Bueokgan building appear! It's a surprisingly big space for a restaurant inside an outlet.
This is the waiting area. It's a popular spot at Shinsegae Outlet so there might be a wait, but you can sit comfortably and rest. Your legs get tired from shopping, you know haha.
And the interior!!! The antique atmosphere is so pretty 💫 From the mirrors to the little props to the lighting, it's perfect for a date 💛 Honestly I didn't expect a restaurant inside an outlet to be this pretty — total bias on my part... Bueokgan really has great vibes (I kept taking photos because it was so pretty...)

They also have baby chairs ready, and I actually saw babies sitting in them! A lot of people come with kids. Apparently the owner wants families to be able to shop the outlet and then eat comfortably with their kids haha.
I wanted to show you this atmosphere so badly that I photographed a different spot every time a table opened up lol. All taken at different times 🤫🤫 When something's pretty you just have to snap away 🚀
There's also space set up for group visits like this. I saw people coming with their parents and other family members — the seating is spacious enough for everyone to sit together. Totally group-friendly.
Menu and prices

Here's Bueokgan's menu and prices. Pasta and pizza run roughly ₩18,000 to the low ₩20,000s. The signature set and family set also look worth trying! The gnocchi and napa cabbage Caesar salad were popular too, but today I had something else in mind ⬇️

That's what we ordered.
Honest review
They set up our table like this, and the grapefruit ade and cola came out looking pretty too lol. Everything's pretty so I'm just happy.

The pasta and risotto arrived!!!

Shrimp anchovy oil pasta
First, the shrimp anchovy oil pasta. They said Bueokgan is a pasta hotspot in Gijang, and this really really really lives up to it 👍 Highly recommend if you like oil pasta.

Loaded with shrimp and it smells amazing too — we split the shrimp and noodles onto our plates haha. The portion isn't huge, just about right for one person. The smell is insane ㅠㅠ Hurry up and give it to me!!!
The shrimp are way plumper and bigger than they look in photos. Pop one in your mouth and mm~~~🫠 pure happiness spreads. Coat it in all that oil and eat up haha.

And here's why I recommend the pasta — the noodle texture was spot on (I don't like mushy noodles). Chef Ahn Sung-jae would probably approve. It's a bit al dente but the oil seasoning soaks all the way in, so the noodles are slightly dry but salty and so delicious? That kind of vibe lol. Why is this texture so rare...?
There's a ton of garlic in it too lol. Maybe that's why the oil pasta flavor is so rich?!
Abalone innard cream risotto
And this ~~~ the abalone innard cream risotto. Just from the deep color you can tell it's going to be good lol.

Rich abalone innards, cream, onion, and more.

Savory and creamy, with chunks of abalone you can actually bite into. And there was only one grilled enoki mushroom, so whoever wins rock-paper-scissors gets to eat it. That thing is insanely good 🦑
Pastry soup
Pastry soup ✨ Honestly I'd only ever had this at buffets... but they had it on the menu here so I had to try it haha.

I had to take photos so I let someone else do the honors of cracking the pastry open 🥹🥹🥹🥹 Crack crack, pastry-crushing time lol.
Oh? The soup inside turned out to be sweet pumpkin soup!!! I was expecting a white cream soup, but I tried it and it was sweet and so delicious lol. Why is pumpkin this good?

You've got to properly tear off the bread stuck to the cup and eat it. Crispy, fluffy, soft. Total crispy-fluffy combo~~~~

Tear off a piece of bread, dunk it heavily in the soup, and happiness announces itself right there haha.

If you're looking for a restaurant at Shinsegae Premium Outlets, Bueokgan is the top pick. Great atmosphere, a solid pasta spot, and a Western restaurant that doesn't miss on anything.
