Busan bar near Namcheon-dong Beach Market: abalone porridge set, Daeun
In short
Daeun Namcheon-dong Main Branch is an izakaya bar near Namcheon-dong Beach Market in Suyeong, Busan. On this repeat visit the Daeun set course (50,000 won per person) brought abalone porridge, caprese salad, hoemuchim (spicy mixed raw fish), seasonal sashimi, flower hot pot and shrimp tempura maki, paired with a bottle of sake and Asahi draft beer. The portions were so generous that some tempura went uneaten, and Daeun is an easy recommendation for a date in Namcheon-dong or a team dinner.

Where is Daeun Namcheon-dong Main Branch?
🍶 I went back to Daeun, a bar near Namcheon-dong Beach Market.

A lot of people are looking for good Namcheon-dong restaurants these days, and I recently revisited a bar called Daeun 😊

It's near Namcheon-dong Beach Market so it's easy to get to, and it's so popular that I'd recommend booking ahead.
It's perfect for a Namcheon-dong date course and I'd also fully recommend it for a group dinner, so let me share today's review ✨
Inside Daeun: a warm, old-school izakaya mood
The vibe the moment you step in the door was really nice.
It's just the right size for about 4 people to sit and chat, which gave it such a warm feeling 🙌
The tables were also spaced out generously, so you could talk comfortably without worrying about the next table.
Among Busan Namcheon-dong bars, a place this cozy is pretty rare.

What comes with the 50,000 won Daeun set course?
🍽 I ordered the Daeun course again today. Every time I come here I always order the Daeun course, which is ₩50,000 per person.

It comes with abalone porridge, caprese salad, hoemuchim, seasonal sashimi, flower hot pot, and shrimp tempura maki — such a generous spread, and really satisfying for the price 😊 I also ordered a bottle of sake to go with it.
- ✅ Abalone porridge
- ✅ Caprese salad
- ✅ Hoemuchim (mixed raw fish salad)
- ✅ Seasonal sashimi
- ✅ Flower hot pot
- ✅ Shrimp tempura maki
With this lineup, every single dish had an exceptional quality to it.

Pajeon and the first glass of sake
🥘 The first thing to come out was pajeon (savory scallion pancake), so I took a glass of sake first — cheers~
That one pajeon alone already set the mood.
Next came hoemuchim, mixed nicely with tot (sea mustard), cucumber, and salmon — not overly sweet, and the freshness of both the raw fish and vegetables really came through.
It felt like the freshness spread through my whole body ✨

Caprese salad and abalone porridge at Daeun
🍅 I was amazed the caprese salad could look this pretty — the plating was stunning.
I think I actually gasped a little when I saw it 😲
The abalone porridge had a completely thick, rich texture too — a taste that could rival famous abalone porridge restaurants.
As you can see in the photo, the color came out really beautifully too.

Seasonal sashimi and its unusual dipping sauce
🐟 I couldn't believe how fresh the seasonal sashimi was.
The sauce served with it has a somewhat unusual style, but it was genuinely so good I could've licked the plate clean 😋 The maki came with it too, with a piece of salmon as big as an egg packed in, so every bite felt like my mouth was about to burst.

Flower hot pot, the showstopper of the course
🌸 The final highlight of this course was, of course, the flower hot pot.

With its colorful look and a huge amount of good-for-you vegetables packed in, it was a visual that made you happy just looking at it 🌈 The taste was amazing too, so I ended up scooping up every last bit of the broth.
The hoemuchim that came out last rounded things off perfectly as a drinking snack.

Finishing the night with Asahi draft beer
🍺 The tempura came out too — shrimp, sweet pumpkin, and more — and the portion was so big that I ended up leaving a little.

Still, I ordered an Asahi draft beer too and finished off nice and full 🙌
The portions were generous and the food was so good that I'd also recommend this to anyone looking for a good bar around Gwangalli.
Is Daeun worth it for a night out in Namcheon-dong?
📍 Overall, the atmosphere, taste, and portions at Daeun were all satisfying.
I'd really strongly recommend it for a Namcheon-dong date or a group dinner 😊
If you're deciding between good Namcheon-dong restaurants or bars in Busan, I'd definitely suggest giving Daeun a try.
I'll be visiting again next time, so I'll leave another review then ✨
