Busan milmyeon restaurant for a hangover cure: Seomyeon Milmyeon
In short
Seomyeon Milmyeon is a milmyeon (cold wheat noodle) restaurant by Exit 8 of Seomyeon Station in Busanjin, Busan, across from the old NC Department Store. A regular of 7 years came with her mother for mul milmyeon, bibim milmyeon and dumplings, and liked the warm broth served in a kettle and the fact that bibim milmyeon costs no more than mul milmyeon. Seomyeon Milmyeon is the Seomyeon spot to head for on a day when only icy broth will cure a hangover.

There's a milmyeon (cold wheat noodle) place I go to a lot near Exit 8 of Seomyeon Station, and I found myself craving it again, so off I went haha. I've been a regular for 7 years now! Let me introduce Seomyeon Milmyeon.
Seomyeon Milmyeon / 667-16 Jeonpo-dong, Busanjin-gu, Busan / Daily 10:30-21:30 / 30 minutes free parking available at Eos parking lot
Where is Seomyeon Milmyeon? Seomyeon Station Exit 8, across from the old NC Department Store

Seomyeon Milmyeon is located across from the old NC Department Store. I used to come here all the time, and these days I still stop by whenever the craving hits — a real Seomyeon Station favorite! It's also super close to Seomyeon subway station, so it's really easy to get to.

How to order: kiosk in front of the inner door
This is the sign at the entrance — isn't the milmyeon illustration so cute lol. When you open the front door, you don't walk straight into the restaurant — there's a kiosk right in front of an inner door. The staff also keep an eye out for incoming customers, so they set up your table right after you order!
There's nothing more awkward than walking into a restaurant and having nobody greet you... but at Seomyeon Milmyeon, they kept watching the entrance, so seating was quick and friendly, which I loved.

True to its reputation as a milmyeon favorite, the signature menu is mul milmyeon, bibim milmyeon, and dumplings! And a large portion only costs an extra ₩1,000 — such great value for a signature Busan milmyeon spot. Order at the kiosk and they'll seat you right away.

If you want to pay cash, just ask the staff and they'll kindly explain! For card, it's easy to just pay at the kiosk before heading in—♡

Water is basically self-serve. I personally prefer the water dispenser over bottled water haha.

Can you bring a child to Seomyeon Milmyeon? Baby cutlery is available
Seomyeon Milmyeon also has baby cutlery. They have a spoon, baby fork, and a small plate, so visiting with kids is no problem at all, right? Restaurants with this kind of thoughtfulness stick in my mind.

I personally really like actor Lee Seok-hoon, who shows up sometimes on "Hangout with Yoo"♡♡ But!! Two years ago on TV, I saw he came to Busan and visited Seomyeon Milmyeon?! Looks like he left an autograph then! Made me weirdly happy to see it *⸌☻ັ⸍*
First, a cup of warm broth from the kettle

At Seomyeon Milmyeon, warm broth is also served in a kettle alongside your order. The flavor of the long-simmered broth is incredibly rich. Drink a cup of broth before your milmyeon even arrives — first thing to do.
Order — mul milmyeon x1, bibim milmyeon x1, dumplings x1

Ice flakes floating on top ~ the food arrived! I actually came here to cure a hangover... hahaha, so I really craved the cold broth and got mul milmyeon, while my mom went for the sweet-and-tangy bibim milmyeon.

Why bibim milmyeon costs no extra at Seomyeon Milmyeon
At Seomyeon Milmyeon, a Busan milmyeon favorite, there's no extra charge for bibim milmyeon! Usually bibim versions cost ₩1,000-2,000 more, so no upcharge is amazing!!

A bowl with all the milmyeon essentials — noodles, meat, egg, and cucumber. Let's dig in right away.

The dumplings came out right after. Freshly steamed and piping hot, 8 pieces per order! They come with a soy dipping sauce too.

The full set — mul milmyeon, bibim milmyeon, and dumplings. Now let's eat happily♡
Mix the seasoning sauce in well! And the noodles are soft enough that you don't really need scissors — they come apart and cut easily on their own.

Mul milmyeon for the hangover, bibim milmyeon for my mother
Let's take a bite with the meat. Down the broth too and the hangover is basically gone... Seomyeon Milmyeon's broth is genuinely delicious. It's not just the warm broth — the cold broth is really good too!!! Pick up the whole bowl and take a sip.

Mix the bibim milmyeon well too, and eat up♡ My mom said Seomyeon Milmyeon's bibim is even tastier than some other famous milmyeon place in Seomyeon!!

The dumplings were so hot I was scared to eat them, so I waited a bit... lol. Dip them in the signature soy sauce and that's it—♡
If you're looking for a Seomyeon Station favorite or a Busan milmyeon restaurant, give Seomyeon Milmyeon a try — it's right near Seomyeon subway station.
