Anyone else start craving something the second it gets hot out? On days like this I think of cold, savory, chewy milmyeon (chilled buckwheat noodles). So I headed to Seomyeon and hit up Seomyeon Milmyeon — a proper Seomyeon favorite! I clapped for how rich the broth was without being over-seasoned. Let's get into the review 👏

There's plenty to look at nearby, it's easy to reach, and there's parking if you're driving. But honestly, driving in Seomyeon is hell, so I'd recommend public transit! Walking inside, it's spacious and comfortable! Everything felt clean and well organized, with tables spaced generously apart so you can enjoy your meal without feeling cramped. And the turnover is fast, so even during busy times like lunch the wait tends to be short — great news for busy office workers wanting a cool, filling meal.

You order at the kiosk near the entrance! Very true to a Seomyeon milmyeon spot — the menu is super simple!

To try a bit of everything, we ordered ✔️ water milmyeon ✔️ bibim milmyeon ✔️ dumplings. Water is self-service 💦

Whoa... how many autographs are on this wall?! Even celebrities have stopped by this Seomyeon favorite, Seomyeon Milmyeon! I can't wait to try the noodles already~

Water milmyeon with 72-hour beef bone broth

First up, the water milmyeon! Generous, hand-torn toppings piled on top of broth full of shaved ice♡

One sip of the broth and it's mild yet has the deep, rich flavor of long-simmered beef bones — not aggressive at all! Seomyeon Milmyeon apparently simmers beef bones for a full 72 hours to build that rich, deep taste.

The noodles get bouncier and chewier the more you chew 👍 I asked my friend to show off the noodles a bit and she grabbed a huge handful haha — she was already hyped about how good the milmyeon was 😤

Even better eaten together with the toppings 👏

Bibim milmyeon: spicy enough, but not too spicy

Next, the bibim milmyeon! Sweet-and-spicy special sauce piled generously on the noodles♡

Mix it up well and slurp a bite~ It's a little spicy but in an addictive way, so my chopsticks just kept going~ Eating it alongside the warm broth is insane 👍 Even someone like me who really can't handle spicy food kept reaching for more — that's how appealing this milmyeon is!

Dumplings with thin skins and packed filling

Last up, dumplings! You can't come to Seomyeon Milmyeon and skip the dumplings!!

Can you see how thin this dumpling skin is?! But it's chewy and springy — the texture is insane 👍

Dip it in soy sauce and the filling — packed tight with meat and vegetables — bursts with juice that fills your whole mouth~ I don't usually go crazy for dumplings, but these were so good I wanted to order more ㅠㅠ If I hadn't been so full, I would've ordered another round 😤
