Gwangmyeong BBQ, unlimited soy crab: Gwangmyeong Seoseo Galbi

If you're looking for a place that's just right for delicious ribs and a drink, pay attention!

Here's what we ordered.

• 2 servings Seoseo Galbi (400g)
• 1 serving pork ribs (200g)
• 2 bowls of rice

House-marinated ribs made with care

First, we grilled the signature Seoseo Galbi. The ribs arrived beautifully marinated.

The owner told us that every rib is hand-butterflied and marinated, then put through a second aging process.

Maybe because the special marinade is made with such care and plenty of hard work, the meat was wonderfully fresh, nutty, and deeply flavored all the way through.

The meat was grilled over charcoal. With that charcoal aroma and ribs together, how could it possibly not be delicious?!

The moment I took a bite, I thought, “Ah, this is why you come here!” The savory depth was so good that it's hard to forget once you've tried it. The pork ribs we had next were tender and pleasantly sweet too—the perfect match for a meal or drinks.

They're heavenly dipped in the special soy sauce too. I seriously kept dipping mine in that sauce.

They're also delicious wrapped in ssam (leaf wraps). You can pick up ssam from the banchan (side-dish) bar too. It was so nice to be able to serve ourselves whatever we needed from the bar~! But of course, don't leave behind what you take, okay?!

A great atmosphere for groups and company dinners

The owner was incredibly kind too, so I felt good throughout the meal. The restaurant itself is lovely for a cozy meal with family or friends, and it's also ideal for a company dinner.

There was actually a large group having a company dinner when I visited! If you're looking for a meat restaurant near Gwangmyeong Market that people of all ages can enjoy, I really recommend it. We visited on Friday evening, and it felt like the whole week's fatigue just melted away.

Can you get unlimited soy-marinated crab?

Another huge highlight here is the unlimited soy-marinated crab!

The meat itself is excellent, but if you love soy-marinated crab, this is somewhere you absolutely need to visit. You can enjoy unlimited refills without feeling self-conscious. Unlimited marinated crab at a rib restaurant!! It really is amazing~! Not only the ribs, but the soy-marinated crab is delicious too.

Being able to enjoy as much of the salty, rice-stealing soy-marinated crab as we wanted was a fantastic match with the meat. This place is full of seriously rice-stealing 🍚 side dishes.

It isn't easy to find a meat restaurant near Gwangmyeong Sageori and Gwangmyeong Market where you don't have to worry about parking, but the convenience here is well covered.
