Yongin Italian restaurant for hot pasta: Ttukbaegi-e Dameun Italia

In short

Ttukbaegi-e Dameun Italia is an Italian restaurant in Yangji, Yongin, Gyeonggi, serving pasta in ttukbaegi earthenware pots and wood-fired pizza. We shared bulgogi salad wood-fired pizza, cream pane pasta, and spicy pesce pasta with seafood and scorched rice. Verdict: a hearty choice before or after golf or a Jisan Resort outing.

I visited Ttukbaegi-e Dameun Italia (뚝배기에 담은 이탈리아), a great pasta spot where generous pasta comes out in ttukbaegi earthenware pots!

I went while looking for somewhere nice to have a hearty meal after a golf round or an outing around Jisan Resort.

Even the name was unusual, but the food really does come out in ttukbaegi pots.

Food served in ttukbaegi pots

It felt different from pasta served on an ordinary plate, and above all, I loved that the food stayed warm for a long time.

And the portions were honestly much bigger than I expected. Since it is an Italian restaurant, I thought they would be moderate, but every dish was large and generous. It seemed like a great place to visit in a group and share several dishes.

Starting generously with bread

While we waited after ordering, some bread arrived too.

It came out warm, so it was nice to eat a piece at a time while waiting for the food. Starting with a little something to whet the appetite somehow made me even hungrier, haha.

The dishes we ordered that day were:

Table set with three ordered dishes
  • Bulgogi salad pasta
  • Cream pane pasta
  • Pesce pasta

Those were the three. As each dish came out, the table filled up quickly because the portions were generous overall.

First up, the bulgogi salad wood-fired pizza!

Another thing that caught my eye at Ttukbaegi-e Dameun Italia was the wood-fired pizza.

Once an order comes in, they make and shape the dough themselves, then make the pizza right away!! Since they make the dough by hand and bake it in a wood-fired oven, I really wanted to try the pizza properly too.

With both salad and bulgogi on it, this was a dish that felt a little more substantial than regular pasta.

The bulgogi and vegetables made it more filling than expected, and the warm, chewy dough straight from the oven plus the fresh vegetables kept it from feeling heavy.

The wood-fired pizza is even tastier because the dough is shaped, made, and baked right after you order!

Cream pane pasta full of rich cream

One of the dishes I really enjoyed was the cream pane pasta!

Cream pane pasta

Pane is always fun because you get to eat the bread too, right?

The bread came filled with cream pasta, and the cream sauce was rich and smooth. Especially because the bread was toasted crisp, dipping it in the cream sauce worked so well.

Eating the bread as well made the portion quite substantial.

Having bread along with the pasta definitely made it more filling, so I felt like even one dish would leave you full.

Pesce pasta with scorched rice and seafood

And the pesce pasta I was most curious about that day!

Pesce pasta with spicy broth

It is the kind of dish that feels like hangover pasta, with a spicy broth that kept making me reach for the soup even though it was pasta.

This place adds nurungji (scorched rice) in a jjamppong-pasta style.

Seafood pesce pasta with scorched rice

It went together surprisingly well. As the scorched rice and seafood soaked up the broth, it tasted both nutty and spicy, so it definitely felt different from ordinary pasta.

Personally, I love dishes with spicy broth, so I enjoyed it. If I had been drinking the night before, I think I would crave it as a hangover meal too.

This time we mainly ordered pizza and pasta, but if I visit again, I definitely want to try the risotto. Since the pizza is made fresh and baked in the wood-fired oven, it is such a good pairing with pasta!

A meal near Yangji Pine CC and Jisan Resort

Overall, I was satisfied because the portions were generous and the dishes were large.

A generous Italian meal spread

I especially liked that the food stayed warm while eating because it came in ttukbaegi pots, and it seemed like a good spot for several people to order and share a range of dishes.

So I think it would also be a nice choice for anyone looking for Italian food near Yangji Pine CC or somewhere to eat before or after a round.

There are private rooms too, and when I visited, lots of families, couples on dates, and groups were there for gatherings or company dinners!!

Jisan Resort is nearby as well, so I think it is in a good location for anyone looking for Italian food near Jisan Resort. They also have after-meal coffee!

The parking lot is spacious too, so parking is convenient!

Like I did, it is nice to order several kinds of pasta and share them, and adding wood-fired pizza would make for an even more generous meal. I was satisfied with my visit to Ttukbaegi-e Dameun Italia in Yongin because the portions were generous and there was such a varied menu. If you are looking for a good restaurant in Yangji, Italian food near Yangji Pine CC, or Italian food near Jisan Resort, it is worth stopping by at least once.
