Back to Withwich in Namdong because my child wanted pizza

It's me again, Yeoul's mom, always agonizing over where to take my kid on weekends. My kid usually eats small portions, so last weekend I asked if there was anything in particular they wanted to eat. The answer was pizza, so I fully embraced that craving and headed to Withwich, a pasta restaurant in Namdong I've now visited more times than I can count.

I picked this place because my kid always eats better than usual here, and because the set menus are great value with fast table turnover, so even a wait doesn't feel like a burden when you're trying to enjoy a relaxed brunch. From pasta to pizza to sandwiches, Withwich is a go-to lunch spot in Namdong — let's take a look at what it's like.

Withwich location, hours and parking

• Location: 36 Seonsuchon Park-ro, 1st floor
• Hours: 8 AM – 9 PM (Sundays from 9 AM)
• Last order: 8:30 PM, dine-in until 8 PM
• Parking: building basement parking available

Withwich sits right in the middle of Seonsuchon Park-ro. I've come here regularly over the past few years, and every visit feels fresh thanks to the variety on the menu.

That spacious brick exterior always makes a good first impression.

They've got pizza, pasta, and a good range of salads too.

On top of everything, it's regularly earned a Blue Ribbon award for its food. It opens at 8 AM (9 AM on weekends), so it's a great spot for an early bite or a leisurely brunch.

Walking in, I saw a wall full of autographs from well-known visitors.

The interior is hall seating only, and it's always kept spotless.

Even though I came around early lunchtime, the place was packed. Luckily there was one table left, so I was able to order quickly. Even if you do have to wait, turnover is fast, so it doesn't drag on.

There seemed to be a lot of staff working in the kitchen — probably why food comes out so quickly and tables turn over fast.

Ordering and grabbing your own tableware is self-serve. And for parking, just mention it on your way out and they'll register plenty of time.

Settling in and looking out the window at the waterfall across the way, it felt like a little outing all on its own.

When it came time to order, there was a popular set menu for exactly our party size, so it made the decision easy.

The menu

From coffee to beer, and a huge variety of sandwiches perfect for brunch — Withwich has it all. Even the pizza and pasta menus seem to get upgraded regularly.

What we ordered: the Double Italy Set for two

We went with the Double Italy Set for two (beef brisket jjamppong pasta, margherita cheese pizza, caffè latte, lemonade, house salad).

This pizza is one of the reasons I keep coming back to Withwich — my kid eats it far better than margherita pizza from other places, and I end up here often just for that. The size is generous too.

And then the house salad and the beef brisket jjamppong pasta.

They always give you a little card explaining the coffee beans, which makes it feel like you're enjoying good coffee that rivals any café. And honestly, the coffee is genuinely good.

The beef brisket jjamppong pasta was spicy enough that calling it 'dad's pasta' wouldn't be an exaggeration — I loved it.

And for something healthy, there's the house salad.

How did the three dishes taste?

Everything looked great and the portions didn't seem small either.

The margherita cheese pizza was thicker than I expected, topped with a bit of arugula.

The house salad came piled with ricotta cheese, so my kid ate it well too.

The beef brisket jjamppong pasta had the noodles cooked just right, and it was packed with that spicy, hangover-soup kind of flavor.

There was quite a lot of beef brisket in it too,

and I really enjoyed the pasta. If I come back, I'll probably order this same pasta again. With coffee and drinks included in the set, it was a great-value way to enjoy this pasta restaurant in Namdong, and all the staff were friendly too, which made the meal even more pleasant.
