Blue Ribbon brunch café in Namdong: margherita pizza at Withwich

I had a craving for pasta, so I took a relaxed lunch trip with my mom to Withwich, a brunch café well known in Guwol-dong. It's famous for being listed in the Blue Ribbon Survey, and after eating there I found the ingredients fresh and the pasta and pizza genuinely delicious.

Where Withwich is and where to park

Withwich is near the Guwol Asiad Athletes' Village, so it's not hard to find, and it sits on the first floor of the building. Parking is free in the basement level 2 lot, and since it opens early in the morning, that's even more convenient.

Even from a distance the brick exterior and the sign stand out, so there was no trouble finding it.

As a Blue Ribbon-listed spot and a well-known restaurant in Guwol-dong, Incheon, there are quite a few celebrity autographs on display. Being a brunch café, the menu is diverse — sandwiches, pasta, pizza, salads, and more.

Inside Withwich and how to order at the kiosk

The interior of Withwich is spacious with a clean, wood-toned atmosphere, so it was comfortable for a meal, and I liked the open kitchen too.

Ordering works through a kiosk on one side of the store where you prepay. There's also a paper menu next to it, which made it easier to see everything at a glance.

What comes in the Double Italia set for two

There were so many options — sandwiches, wood-fired pizza, pasta, and even side coffee — that I had a hard time choosing, so I went with the Double Italia set for two since it existed. The pasta lineup alone was varied, with rucola arrabbiata pasta, spicy woo samgyeop (beef brisket) cream pasta, and perilla shrimp cream pasta; there was also rucola ricotta cheese pizza, gorgonzola cheese pizza, and sandwiches like spicy chicken breast and avocado rucola deli — everything looked delicious. For the side you pick a salad, and you can choose two ades to finish it off!

At the self-serve bar there's water, cups, cutlery, plus ketchup, hot sauce, cheese powder, and pickles, so you can take as much as you need. After finishing the meal, you return your dishes at the tray return counter.

The order came out all at once, and everything looked fresh and appetizing.

It was quite a lot of food for two people, and it ended up being one of the more filling brunch meals I've had.

First, the house salad had fresh vegetables and was perfect as an appetizer before the main dishes. Eaten together with the ricotta cheese, it tasted even better — light and clean.

The green grape ade was also refreshing and sweet — delicious.

The margherita wood-fired pizza

The margherita pizza came fresh out of the wood-fired oven, with a thin yet chewy, clean-tasting dough — really excellent.

It was a dish with a healthy, deep flavor, and one I'd want to order again next time.

Woo samgyeop (beef belly) jjamppong pasta

The woo samgyeop (beef brisket) jjamppong pasta has a tomato base with beef brisket and mushrooms, and the slightly spicy kick made it a real standout.

The portion was generous and the noodles were cooked just right, so I kept going back for more.

Wrapping the beef brisket on top made a great combination, and since the sauce was so good, it's one of the dishes I'd order again next time I come.

It went really well with the wood-fired pizza too, and dipping the pizza in the sauce was a perfect match.

Is Withwich worth it for brunch in Namdong?

Leftover pizza can be packed to go, and Withwich turned out to be one of the Guwol-dong restaurants that satisfied both on atmosphere and taste. The ingredients were fresh and the menu — pizza, salad, pasta, sandwiches — was varied enough that even my mom was happy with our brunch time haha.
