Bupyeong cocktail bar with pirate-ship performances: Columbus Lounge

It felt way too soon to say goodbye after our wedding-invitation get-together. I was wondering, where could we have a drink somewhere with a nice atmosphere?? Then I remembered the cocktail bar I had visited alone, so off I went. It is near Bupyeong Station’s Culture Street, so it is easy to get to—and I recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, atmospheric bar!!

A pirate-ship-themed bar on Bupyeong Theme Street

Columbus Lounge (콜럼버스 라운지) is on Bupyeong Theme Street, also known as the bar street. It is on the second floor in the alley between the indoor baseball shooting range and Yongyong Seonsaeng. The huge anchor model outside, fitting the pirate-ship concept, really catches your eye. The name Columbus Lounge and the pirate theme came through immediately at first glance.

The entrance alone feels grand, right? Let’s go aboard!!

Head up to the second floor and sparkling lights welcome you.

Once inside, the atmosphere is even more dazzling than the exterior!! The pirate-ship-inspired interior was impressive. Different lights come together in the dark setting to create a mysterious, exotic mood.

There are bar seats and regular tables, and from the bar seats you can watch the drinks being made right in front of you. You can absolutely come for a solo drink too, so pay it a visit!!

Alcoholic drinks and welcome drinks

There is such a wide variety of drinks. Wine, whisky, cocktails, and even special cocktails available only at Columbus Lounge are all on hand. They can even make one just for you!! With so many strengths and styles, there are lots of cocktails that everyone can enjoy, haha.

Popcorn comes as the basic snack. It is sweet, so it is nice to nibble on one piece at a time, haha.

There are welcome drinks, too. Pomegranate is on the left and orange on the right, and their tanginess wakes up your appetite. Looking more closely, the glasses are shaped like a bikini and abs, hahaha.

Nachos on Deck and signature cocktails

✔️ Nachos on Deck ₩15,000 We had already eaten, so we ordered nachos for something simple.

The nachos are plain and crispy. There is nothing quite like nachos as a cocktail snack, haha.

You can ask for more tomato salsa if you run short. A bite, then a sip~ The atmosphere is so nice that the drinks go down easily.

A Time That Will Never Return

The signature cocktails come with performances, so they are fun to watch as well. My first impression was that it looked like the flower from Beauty and the Beast.

As soon as it opens, gentle aromas of rosemary, herbs, and flowers rise up, and I was happy before I even took a sip, haha.

At 18%, it is on the stronger side, but it has sweetness too, making it a cocktail people of all ages might enjoy. My friend gave it a thumbs-up, saying it was so delicious 👍

It was so pretty that I kept taking photos, hahaha. If you are looking for a fragrant cocktail with gentle sweetness and a noticeable alcoholic taste, recommend, recommend!!!

Cotton Candy in Wonderland

Next up is the Cotton Candy in Wonderland cocktail. You can choose red (Juicy Fresh) or blue (blue lemonade), and I chose red.

Even a bubble gun at the end!! How could you not take photos~~

It is a cocktail with actual cotton candy in it, so it tastes like a sweet drink. There is candy inside the cocktail, too!

At 6%, it is easy to enjoy without feeling too much pressure, and it is light and easy to drink. At first I thought it was expensive, but that thought disappeared the moment I tasted it.

Treasure chest and story event

The treasure chest arrived! Inside were chocolates and jellies, haha. I had been craving something sweet, so such good sense 👍

If you take part in the Instagram Story event, you can spin the roulette wheel. I spun it and, of all things, got nachos... Three seconds of silence with the staff member and my friend, hahaha. The thoughtful staff member switched it to ice cream for me 👍

It was sherbet, so it was easy to enjoy without feeling too full, haha.

A Bupyeong bar with a great atmosphere!! A lovely spot for a date!! It opens at 6 p.m. and stays open until 6 a.m. the next morning, so you can visit even in the early hours.
