I was looking for a hair salon in Hapjeong that does men’s hair well, so I visited Pieum Hair (피움헤어) Hapjeong Main Branch. It’s super close to Hapjeong Station Exit 7. The transportation was convenient, which was nice.

My boyfriend’s hair had gotten quite long that day, so it needed an overall tidy-up. They were thorough from the consultation onward, so we could leave it in their hands comfortably.

More than anything, we even met the cutest dog while getting his hair done, which put me in such a good mood haha.

With its white-toned interior, the salon itself felt bright and clean. The mirrors and lighting were well arranged too, so it was comfortable to be there while he got his hair done. The space wasn’t overly crowded or stuffy, and I loved the calm mood overall.

There was a dog in the salon, and it was seriously so cuteㅠㅠ Whenever it appeared nearby while he was getting his hair done, I kept looking over, and every time it walked past, it just made me happy haha. Meeting a dog at a salon somehow makes even the waiting time more enjoyable.

How did they tidy up long men’s hair?

That day, we left his hair to designer Haereum. His hair had grown quite long, so instead of simply cutting it short, they first checked its condition and consulted with us about what style would suit him. With men’s hair, even a small difference in the length at the sides or back can totally change the overall impression, and they shaped it naturally while considering his face shape and hair condition.

His hair was quite long and shaggy. We brought in a photo to show them, and since he usually does not spend much time styling it, we went in a direction that would be easy to manage at home too. They cleaned up the sides and back, then balanced the top so it would not look too short, and it definitely looked much neater than before. When his hair was long, it made him look a little weighed down overall, but after the cut, his face showed much more cleanly.

I also liked that they did not cut his fringe too short and instead shaped it so it fell naturally. A good haircut alone can really change the whole feel of men’s hair. I watched while I waited, and they were so meticulous and asked about every little thing, so I think it turned out exactly as he wanted.

Comparing the before and after, I immediately understood why you need to get your hair tidied up regularly haha.

Also, there were no assistants, so the designer handled everything from start to finish. That’s important, right!!!! So even the perm came out beautifully and completely symmetrical. He said he loved his hair all day long lol.
