Songpa eyebrow studio for soft natural combo brows: Mood Moon Brow

Today I’m sharing my very satisfying experience getting semi-permanent eyebrow care at Mood Moon Brow, which I found while looking for eyebrow tattooing in Jamsil! Since it was my first time getting semi-permanent brows, I was nervous and worried, but thanks to the skilled, detail-oriented owner, who studied design, I had a comfortable treatment and came away really happy with it.

Mood Moon Brow is on the sixth floor of the building with Napoleon Bakery, on the main road by Sports Complex Station Exit 9. It was easy to reach from Jamsil, Songpa, and Gangnam.

The interior was neat and relaxing, and the colorful décor on one side caught my eye. As it turns out, they specialize not only in brows but also lip-color treatments!! I’d love to try my lips next time.

Consultation and design tailored to my brows

Before getting started, the director looked at my brows at the consultation table and carefully discussed colors and a design suited to my face. I have plenty of hair at the front but not much toward the ends, so she recommended a combo treatment with hair strokes and shading.

My untouched natural brows for the first time

These are my natural, untouched brows—I’d never had brow care in my life 😇 The director checked their condition and designed brows that suited me, considering the hair pattern, shape, and my facial features. Of course, she fully reflected the style I wanted too, but because it was my first time, I decided to put my trust in her..❣️

First she applied numbing cream and we waited about 15 minutes. Then she mapped out the shape according to the design, and I could feel her experience in those quick, practiced movements.

Once the design was finished, she tidied up the stray brow hairs.

She kept asking for my opinion while designing, so my own style was reflected throughout. This was when I learned that thinner brows with a less dramatic arch suit me better than thick brows..^^

How painful was the eyebrow tattoo treatment?

Even with numbing cream, I thought it might hurt somewhat, but I barely felt any pain, which was great. I’m fairly good at tolerating pain, but treatments like this can still give me cold sweats, you know..? But I was genuinely able to relax through it.

They said some clients actually fall asleep during the treatment, haha. I think anyone worried about pain, like I was, could receive it comfortably too :)

Combo brow results: hair strokes kept, sparse areas filled

These are my finished brows. Even immediately after the treatment, there was barely any redness or swelling. The before-and-after difference was clear, yet they looked even more natural than I expected. She preserved the hair-stroke effect at the front and naturally built up the sparse-looking tails one hair at a time.

Including the time with the numbing cream on, it took about an hour. I was happy with the director’s meticulous design and delicate work, but more than anything, I loved that my brows did not look overly dark or unnatural from the moment I left. The natural hair texture at the front remained intact, while the sparse tail areas were naturally filled, making the overall brow shape look much more defined!

Maybe because they use premium safety-approved pigments, I’m writing this post on day three after getting my brows tattooed and have had no discomfort. Since it was my first time, I worried about the pain and whether they would end up too dark, but it was more comfortable than I expected and the result looks natural, so I’m very satisfied.
