The sushi that came with it was also impressive, with the rice and the sashimi on top blending perfectly, rivaling a dedicated sushi restaurant.

I first dipped the thick sashimi lightly in soy sauce, and the chewiness and clean flavor that filled my mouth was so delicious. Both the vinegar-chili sauce and the soy-based sauce were great, so I alternated between them and ended up finishing all that sashimi and sushi in no time.

Finishing with the spicy fish stew included in the set

The meal ended with the spicy fish stew (maeuntang) included in the set. Taking a spoonful of the bubbling broth, the deep and refreshing spiciness gently settled my stomach — a perfect finish.

I liked that if you ran low on side dishes or sauce during the meal, there was a self-serve bar so you could help yourself without feeling awkward.

On my way out, I noticed the free kimchi pancake corner right next to the salad bar. We were too full to try it this time.
