Bangi Station Korean BBQ with green mulberry-leaf sujebi: Dangsan Odol
In short
Dangsan Odol Bangi Branch is a charcoal Korean BBQ restaurant on Yangjaedae-ro 71-gil in Songpa, Seoul, a short walk from Bangi Station. The meal was two servings of snowflake ribs (nunkkot galbi) with hangover telleogi sujebi (dough flake soup) and an extra order of kkodeulsal, and the sujebi made with mulberry leaves, green right through, was the most memorable dish. The snowflake ribs were a little tough, but with a dedicated parking lot and a group room, Dangsan Odol Bangi Branch works well for gatherings.

How close is Dangsan Odol Bangi Branch to Bangi Station?
Dangsan Odol Bangi Branch is a charcoal BBQ restaurant on Yangjaedae-ro 71-gil in Songpa-gu, Seoul, and it's close enough to Bangi Station to make it easy to reach by public transit. I was looking for somewhere to eat meat near Bangi Station and ended up here — it seems like a solid spot if you're making plans around Bangi-dong for a meat dinner!

And parking is something I quietly care a lot about when picking a restaurant. This place has its own dedicated parking lot, so it was convenient to visit by car too! No need to circle the block looking for parking — I really liked that part haha.

Inside Dangsan Odol Bangi Branch: the hall and the group room
Walking into Dangsan Odol Bangi Branch, the interior was much bigger than I expected! There were plenty of tables, and there's also a room available for group use, which looks great for family gatherings or company dinners with a lot of people.
There are so many BBQ restaurants in Bangi-dong, but a place this spacious with a room on top seems quite convenient for anyone looking for a gathering spot!

What we ordered: two servings of snowflake ribs and hangover telleogi sujebi
The menu had this many options ready to go.

What we ordered that day was two servings of snowflake ribs and hangover sujebi (dough flake soup)! Eating just meat felt a little lacking, so we added a soup or meal item too, and to cut to the chase — the sujebi turned out way tastier than expected, which was very satisfying lol.
Also, something worth knowing if you're planning to visit: they're running a Naver receipt photo review event. If you want to take part in the review event, it's worth checking before you order!

The basic banchan (side dishes) come like this, and if you need more you can grab extras from the self-serve bar! The sides that pair well with meat were neatly set out, making it easy to mix and match — and now, time to get into the actual meat!

How did the charcoal-grilled snowflake ribs taste?
The snowflake ribs (nunkkot galbi) from Dangsan Odol Bangi Branch arrived looking pretty appetizing right off the bat haha. True to the name, the meat had a pretty marbled texture, and since it's grilled over charcoal, I wanted to dig in even before it hit the grill. It grilled up nicely over the charcoal — meat really does taste best cooked over charcoal, I think lol. As the meat browned and the smell drifted up, I got even hungrier!

Once the snowflake ribs were well grilled, I first tried them the most basic way — dipped lightly in salt. To really taste the meat itself, a light salt dip is definitely the best way to go. Overall the flavor was excellent! Though based on what I tasted, the meat felt just a tiny bit tough, which was a bit of a letdown. Still, the flavor itself was good, so pairing it with sides made it enjoyable to eat.

Green hangover telleogi sujebi made with mulberry leaves
After eating meat for a while, the hangover sujebi (dough flake soup) I'd been waiting for finally arrived! Honestly I wasn't expecting much from sujebi at a BBQ restaurant, but it turned out to be way tastier than I imagined lol. What was especially surprising was that the sujebi dough was made with mulberry leaves, so instead of the usual white color, the dough flakes were green.

At first the color surprised me — like, oh? — but once I actually tried it, the chewy dough flakes went so well with the broth that I kept going back for more.

A warm spoonful of broth while eating meat hit just right. This is a menu item where you get why 'hangover' is in the name haha. A great meal item to order alongside the meat.
Kkodeulsal as an extra order: how to grill it and how it chews
As we ate, I got curious about other cuts, so we ended up ordering kkodeulsal too lol. The menu had separate instructions on how to grill kkodeulsal, so we followed that method. Kkodeulsal really does live up to its name — the texture was genuinely chewy and springy haha. It was noticeably different in texture from the snowflake ribs, so it was fun trying a different cut at the same BBQ spot.

Personally, I found kkodeulsal tastier grilled a bit more well-done! Browning the outside gave it a better texture and suited my taste much more. So between the snowflake ribs, the kkodeulsal, and the hangover sujebi, we ate our fill pretty thoroughly haha.

Verdict: who is Dangsan Odol Bangi Branch right for?
Dangsan Odol Bangi Branch has a spacious dining room and a group room, so it looked like a good option for anyone hunting for a BBQ restaurant near Bangi Station, or looking for a spot for a family gathering or company dinner. On top of that, having dedicated parking is convenient for anyone visiting by car!
I enjoyed the snowflake ribs that day, but personally the hangover sujebi ended up being the more memorable dish lol. The green mulberry-leaf sujebi was unique, and eating it with the broth paired really well with the meat. If you're looking for a place to eat meat near Bangi Station, Dangsan Odol Bangi Branch might be worth a visit :)
