Felt like I needed to oil up my joints again, so I went out for beef haha. This time I didn't even think twice about the menu — it was hanwoo (Korean beef) or nothing.

There were a lot of families around that day, and it turned out later that there's a room and even a separate kids' play area. I've already marked this place down for the next family gathering, so let me share my visit review of Bangi-dong's 'Hantiok.'

Where is the entrance to Hantiok? Skip the back gate and take the stairs down to the front door

Hantiok is on the 1st floor of 114 Wiryeseong-daero, but if you just type the address into a map app and walk, it sometimes leads you to the back door instead of the front. Once you spot the sign, go down one flight of stairs and the front door is right there.

We walked there using the Kakao Map address, and there was a moment where I got a little confused haha. The address was definitely right, but when we arrived, it guided us to what looked like the back, not the front door I expected...?

If it's your first time, you might have the same 'uh... is this really it?' moment I did. Just look for the sign, go down one flight of stairs, and the front door is right there!

I was a bit lost at first too, but the moment I walked in through the front door, I thought, ah, this is it haha. If you're walking there like I did, knowing this ahead of time will make things a lot easier.

Inside Hantiok in Bangi-dong: private rooms and a kids' play space

I liked the atmosphere around Hantiok too. When you hear Bangi-dong, you might picture somewhere bustling, but this area is close to academies and residential streets, so it felt quieter and calmer than I expected.

It wasn't the typical noisy Korean BBQ place with tables crammed together, so it was really nice to chat quietly over the meal. Once we got there, we saw tons of families — some with grandparents, some with young kids.

And even more surprising, there's a separate kids' play space! A kids' area at a Korean BBQ place... isn't that basically a ray of hope for parents?

There's also a private room, perfect for gatherings or family meals out. For anyone looking for a good beef restaurant near Bangi Station or a Korean restaurant in Bangi-dong, this setup is hard to beat!

What's on the Hantiok menu and what it costs

Alongside the grilled hanwoo dishes, the Hantiok menu also has Korean staples like gukbap (soup with rice), guksi (noodle soup), and bossam (boiled pork).

We came to demolish some beef from the start, so we ordered beef without a second thought haha. Sirloin first, let's go...

Once the meat hits the grill and that sound and smell start filling the air... you go quiet without realizing it, you know the feeling haha.

The hanwoo sirloin was clean-tasting but savory, genuinely fun to eat. Maybe because I'd been craving beef all day, but every single bite that day was just so good...

One bite fresh off the grill... one dipped in salt... two dipped in ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste)...

After working all day and finally sitting down with good beef and a beer... pure healing, that's what it was.

Even the ice arrives in a bucket: service at Hantiok

Another reason Hantiok stuck with me was how genuinely kind the staff were. At a Korean BBQ place you constantly need the grill changed and have to flag staff down a lot, but since the service was easy and comfortable, I was in a good mood the whole meal!

What really got me was that they didn't just hand us ice in a cup — they brought it out in a bucket... little details like this stick with you for a while, right? So along with the food, the overall good mood I left with is what really stuck in my memory.

The self-serve bar was also super clean and tidy.

Why Hantiok works for dinner after a walk around Olympic Park

Walking out, I realized Hantiok is a bit different from your typical grab-a-quick-bite BBQ place! It's fairly quiet around the area, the space is pleasant, there's a room, and there's even a play space for kids — really convenient for families.

If your plan involves walking around Olympic Park and then grabbing a meal, having a room or kids' space is a real plus. So if you're looking for a good restaurant near Olympic Park, in Bangi-dong, or a beef place near Bangi Station, Hantiok is worth keeping in mind. After a walk at Olympic Park you always end up looking for somewhere proper to eat, and it's so much easier to choose a place that has both beef and Korean dishes together. Beyond the grilled meats, the gukbap, guksi, and bossam menu is solid too, which makes it easy for families to agree on what to order!

It had been a while since I'd gone out for beef, and Hantiok satisfied me in more ways than I expected! There's even barley tea for dessert, the kind G-Dragon drinks... and breath spray too.
